The original Darius was first unveiled at the Amusement Show in Japan, on 7th October 1986, and was subsequently launched in game arcades in February 1987. Thus, 7th October, when the title was first announced, is now designated as Darius Debut Day.

We've successfully updated the game, fixing the leaderboard issue, and in line with this, the leaderboards and replay data have been reset too.
Thanks for your understanding and apologies for the inconvenience, but we hope you al continue to enjoy beam-battling giant space-faring fish in G-Darius HD!

A bug has been discovered in the leaderboards for the game, which prevents scores of around 33 million or more from registering correctly.
In order to correct this issue, we will be testing a fix on the the following date:
Monday, 8 April 2024, 23:00-27:00 (PDT)
Tuesday, 9 April 2024, 15:00-18:00 (JST)
During this time, G-Darius HD may be played as usual, but the leaderboards and replay data will be reset when the update is released.

Happy New Year and a huge thanks to everyone who tested the beta branch release (see here), the updates are now live in the main branch.

We noticed a recent OS update meant the game stopped working properly on Steam Deck, and now Ray’z Arcade Chronology is working again, we're launching a fix for G-Darius HD via a beta branch until January 8th.
There's also a test running for Darius Cozmic Collection too!
If you have a Steam Deck and would like to participate, the details are below.
Right-click on Darius Cozmic Collection from the library page and select "Properties", then select the "BETAS" tab, and enter the password "TRIPODSARDINE".

All G-Darius games included should now work, so you can witness the creation of new lives on the go!
However, if you encounter any issues which mangle your α Beam, or prevent your capture ball fun, please let us know here!

• Fixed an issue where certain graphics cards would cause the game to run slowly
  
• Fixed a freeze which occurred in Ver.2 when certain bosses were shot with the Alpha Beam
  
• Added a slowdown on/off option to Exhibition
  
• Fixed some other minor bugs
