Some users are experiencing the issue that Dome Keeper keeps closing right after starting. We are sharing a few possible solutions that will help resolve this issue.

Mods can crash the game if they are incompatible or cause conflicts with the game files. Make sure to update mods regularly to avoid problems. To remove mods completely, you can follow these steps:
- Unsubscribe from all mods
- Right-click on the game in your Steam library.
- Click on the "Installed Files" tab and open the local folder using the "Browse" button.
- If there is a file called "override.cfg", delete it.

Dome Keeper checks first if you own the game in Steam. If that check fails, it simply shuts down.
The following steps will resolve the most common problems:
- Make sure the Steam application is running in the background and the correct profile is active.
- Check if you are playing the latest version of Domekeeper, if not, install the latest updates.
- Validate that security software, like the Windows Firewall, isn't blocking the game or the Steam client. You can turn off the firewall to exclude this as a source of error.
- Also check that your VPNs are turned off to be sure that they are not interfering with the connection
