We're excited to announce that the playtest for Truck Mechanic has started!

Some time ago, we opened the playtest participation form and received numerous applications — thank you all for your interest and support! In the meantime, we've been hard at work improving the game: polishing existing mechanics, enhancing various aspects, plus constantly adding new content and exciting features. We truly hope you'll enjoy the experience!

Everyone who gets access to the playtest will also see a “Grant Playtest Access to a Friend” button in their library. Don’t forget to share it with someone who’d love to join too!

We'll continue granting access gradually, in waves, so keep an eye on your Steam notifications to see if you've been selected.

During the playtest, you'll be able to explore the entire first map (Jungle) with all its locations and points of interest. However, the main storyline and a number of side quests will be limited to avoid major spoilers. Go wherever you like, tinker with repairs, discover peculiar locales, and maybe even stumble upon a few surprises. And once you're done exploring, exit the map and head back to the garage to try out the novel truck customization options that you've unlocked!

We're extremely grateful to everyone joining the playtest — especially those who take a moment to share their feedback using this survey[forms.gle] (you can also find a button linking to it in-game).

Your thoughts and impressions are incredibly valuable and will help us better the game and smooth out any rough edges before the full release. The project's already in the final stretch leading up to the launch, but we'd love to hear from you and find out if there's anything else we can improve to make the adventure as fun and comfortable as possible.

Reworked Minigames
We’ve given our minigames a fresh coat of paint! Not only do they look better, but they also come with more engaging mechanics.

Reputation missions
Whether you’re fixing road signs, reviving broken generators, or completing new cargo missions – these aren’t just fun diversions. They’re now tightly tied into the reputation system! That’s right – by completing these interactive challenges, you’ll earn valuable reputation points, helping you unlock new missions and progress further into the world.

Updated Map System
Getting lost in the wilderness is half the fun… until you're trying to find that one side quest or hidden skill book. That’s why we’ve improved the map functionality. You can now easily track tasks related to reputation, and collectibles. Whether you're hunting down that elusive skill book or just trying to boost your rep, the new map UI will guide your way.

RTX & DLSS Support
Full support for RTX features, DLSS, and even DLSS Frame Generation are in the game for those of you sporting the latest Nvidia GPUs. Expect better performance, cool lighting, and smoother frame rates. But that's not all — we’ve taken the time to painstakingly refine our maps and world design, ensuring every environment feels lived-in, scenic, and worth exploring. From sweeping mountain vistas to gritty back road details, the world of Dangerous Paths has never looked better. We honestly can’t wait for you to get behind the wheel and see it for yourself.
