It would be interesting if sometimes, a merchant ship passes by Critter Cove to do some business with you and the local population.

For instance, during a non-turist day, there's a chance a merchant ship arrives at port. You can talk to the critter in charge of the vessel to buy and sell items. The critter's wares are randomized - you may find simple materials like wood and metal, or uncommon components like threadmills, broken furniture or Wonky Sauce. You can also find ships roaming around in other islands.

The merchant critters could be our own created characters, either from other file saves, or via another Character Creation Contest.
