Title, I keep constantly getting error messages telling me that certain .wav files are missing when I am online and I don't think I messed with any of the files. Is the game intentionally doing this for a meta effect, or did I bungle my install somehow?

it says this app has to be online and then nothing happens. i have internet on and i use mac os. what do i do

I have my games installed on a NAS and access them over NFS. This game should easily run from that location, but it did not because the game was installed in a subfolder of itself, with the same name. So after moving the contents of this subfolder to the main folder, it ran, like it should. This might help others, trying to run the game. Good luck!...
