Support from foundations is only accounted for on the X axis. So using a combination of foundation and roof pieces you can build a whole floor for your base that things like rocks and berries will still spawn under. You have stairs leading up to the platform on the sides, and make sure you have a transporting pal that can fit through a door as that will be needed to build the walls. 3 walls high will allow the next "floor" made entirely of roof tiles to be built with no conflicts with anything below it. Make sure each floor has all the amenities for the pals that will be put there. You now have near limitless space per base built from resources you already have in, or will be obtaining in vast quantities very soon.
I'm willing to bet that there's probably a script line you can add to the engine ini file that can disable the bushes. I have seen mods that affect things such as fog and grass that simply added a simple line or two of code to the ini file.
For example, adding the following to the end of the engine ini file will disable the game's fog:
[SystemSettings]
r.Fog=0
I don't know much about the scripting, so I can't help you with the bushes. I'd try asking around to see if anyone knows any script line that can disable the bushes.
There is really no prolonged need for berry bushes you get your seeds and that is it no need to have them keep growing back.
They are referring to a type of set decoration not any of the resources.
