there is no virus in the games on steam as they are required to pass a though virus scan on steam servers.

the game probably uses some hook or something that the av flagged based purely on behavior alone. It's a false flag reading and happens all the time.

Got mods? The game downloaded directly from the steam client is safe. Mods though, even from Nexus come with risks, and as they are tied to the game may not activate until you open the game which will make it look like the game's fault.

There are also false positives, especially with games with anticheat software that your PC will "correctly" notice are looking through your files a bit more intently than a passive game would. But tbh dunno if Palworld has this, it's never been a concern of mine unlike some people who are extremely against these things.
