First solution is to just make more food for when everyone's logged out.

If this is happening even when they still have food, it means their AI is deactivating when no players are online. Only thing you can do then is to move all the pals back into your box before you log off.

this happen more when you play on community servers that have no reboot

Another solution (well a bit at least) is to set the hunger for Pals to 0. But sometimes they still are depressed and sick, but at least not all of them.

There currently seems to be a bug introduced to shared servers with last patch causing base Pals to starve when you are offline. I should say re-introduced, because it used to do this in for while after initial release as well.

right now i stoped playing because of this. I put like 4000 salad, and when i come back, they are all stuck (freeze for nothing) get sick and dont eat. But theres already food.

I don't check for exact time before you get starve, but if you login to the game at least once a day( once for every 24h) you never get starved pal at all. The point there - you don't actually need to play, even login and quit right now is enough to reset timing for next day or so.
I don't have any problem with starve when i doing so.
I only get starve once when i didn't login for about 2 days.

devs took money and they are in hawaii

After more testing - there is 24 hour window before pals put in sleep state, so if you login to game at least once every 24 hours interval your pals never get sick or starve, unless you don't have food left.
Tho i don't sure is that server fault or bug, or just OS optimize.
