I reported this as a bug awhile back on their discord. It worked great on 1.50 and earlier, something about 1.51 broke it.

yep can confirm, cant continue after loading shaders. tried adjusting resolution and using different compatibility tools but no dice

Using Steam options '-windowed' fixes it now.
