Thanks for replying. I can understand the question, to put it briefly, there are hardly any "current" soccer games on this platform. I use steam almost exclusively (as far as possible) for online games and GOG for the games I can start, install and play without installing a launcher, or rather offline gaming. The advantage for the developer would be sales, but I can only influence them once. Best regards.
Another reason is to keep older versions, for whatever purpose.
The advantage of GOG is the DRM-Free nature of the platform meaning we can play the game without the need of any launcher nor online limitation, and is a very pro-consumer decision given the state of the industry with many live service games that shut down and are impossible to play after servers die..
