Can't attach blueprints
I've searched the threads and can't find anything about the issue I am having. I have played through the game a few times on earlier updates but never saw the need for blueprints. With so many new techs added I wanted to create a few for easy modular builds.

So, I spent some time yesterday creating a few basic BP's and collected all the materials needed. This morning I went to place one and it won't attach to my ship. I can attach it to a planet that my ship is docked at, but not my ship.

I played around with rotation, created a platform to attach it to, added foundations, and everything else I could think of but still no luck. The only place on my ship it would attach is inside my astronaut quarters and even then it didn't line up with the walls or floors correctly.

I'm confounded. I'm sure I am missing something here that should be super simple. Thanks to anyone willing to help!

The simplest way is to create blueprint directly on the floor.
You can adjust pivot to construct on top or in front.

I just made a short guide: https://imgur.com/a/hUd8iSy
Thanks for that. I have an idea that may be causing the issue. I did make the blueprint on a floor but I included a box underneath for running the utilities so maybe that is causing the issue. I'll try to remove that and see if that fixes the problem.
So I was still unable to use my BP's, now I am just using them as design plans. Which is fine as it takes time to make the needed resources to build them anyway. I was able to use some very simplified BP's but still struggling to get them to attach where I want them.
AriadneSolInvictus, next time you do a search check the guides, also.

'Single player' has a handful of sections devoted to blueprints.
