I'm 40 minutes in and I already know this game is incredible.

I will be on the verge of tears by the end of this.

10/10 make me question everything again

This game will force you to acknowledge what type of person you are. Your principles. Your values. What makes a good person? How far are you willing to go to be your own independent, non-societal construct, self-contrived opinion of what a good person is?

Is your opinion right?
No matter which way you spin it, to us? Everyone is a good person in their own mind.

I absolutely hate this game. I get that it has a big fanbase, i'm not here to yuck anyone's yum i swear. but for me this game should have come with a timeclock and a paycheck. it was so tedious and boring. i tried my best to keep interested but after, like, hour 4 i found myself nodding off constantly and dreading every second moving forward.

i knew going in there would be a lot of dialogue to this game but jesus christ...
at least a book is portable and can be read in a more comfortable setting, unlike my pc. a book also doesn't require you to hit the space bar after every single sentence.

the writing, at least the english translation, is pretty bad. grammar and spelling issues notwithstanding, it was way too pretentious and dense.
somewhere around the midpoint my willingness to chew through the material devolved into barbarically mashing the space bar and spamming the top dialogue option in what was ultimately a vain effort to reach the end of the game quicker. i say in vain because parts of the game require you to actually pay attention to the dialogue in order to advance further. so i had to google things i spammed past in order to find the correct responses, making the process take even longer.

i assume there is a specific demographic the devs were targeting and i'm clearly not it. and if you don't enjoy falling asleep trying to read through a bunch of boring technobabble with very very little onscreen action of any kind to break up the monotony, you're not the target audience either.
however if reading dull, boring novels from your tv screen and constantly hitting the space bar after every sentence is your thing, you'll love this practice in self-torture.

This game to me is like a wake up call, to find my purposes, to choose what i do, to be a responsible person. I will live life to the fullest.
