Yes, I converted a Scourge Herald this game. :D

First, don't discount Flagellants. They usually turn pretty ok once you boosted the bless a bit. Some high hp, armor and a fire shield on a unit that you can flood the map with is no joke.

Second, send the Crusade against the Witch. 200 Gold is cheap for what you get and it should do some damage.

Third, Templars and Paladins are great combatants. They are basically boosted Knights and can turn very nasty with a good bless.

Fourth, break a few seals and let your divine visitors do their job. The higher levels pack a mean punch and are free once the seal is broken.

Just don't break the last one.

Nice stuff.

The 2 gelatinous cubes and 2 poison siege snails killed like 4 crusades and my last citadel + all my heroes. I think at the end, I successfully killed one gelatinous cube with a sufficient frontline of temple divine soldiers with paladins and various other volunteer calvary. No crusade could touch it, just a game ending stack that conquored all other AI and me. I don't think there was counter play to it. There were 2 giant tree men in the army with like 90 HP each by the end as well. I would ocassionally get stupid rogue angels that would solo march into enemy creeps and die from a single archer's arrow shot, instantly dying to a single enemy archer embarassing. This happened like 5-10 times.

Voice of el is an even better class for capturing enemy human ritual casters due to mass conversion but this is only really relevant outside of pvp where youll have plenty of ai factions to stalk and setup for conversion

voice of el gets access to 2 very cheap armies that they can use to track down citadels and settlements but this mainly is for speeding up expansion (taking enemy citadels is also expansion) and becomes unreliable due to rng on where it might spawn.

voice of el has a much easier time taking magic libraries and using independent casters than witch.

Most of witch's summons that are meant to carry her to late game die to ranged/caster spam due to being so short ranged, ive beaten a witch player as demonologist just by spamming frost imps and voice of el can do the same with a few decent magic library pulls.

Voice of el doesn't need to win fights they win by scaling. Just focus on not dying while your bless builds up and your freespawn procs more often in bigger numbers. The roaming freespawn starts off really dumb and week but keep building up your blessing, spawn rate, and breaking seals and you'll start snowballing into having a million badass angels wandering around destroying their economy and whittling down their armies. Basically the voice doesn't really fight battles and win them, it's more about winning through attrition and economic sabotage. Just don't manually break the 5th seal because the seals will eventually break themselves at that point so you may as well save your relics for pumping your blessing.

You don't need to win, you just have to be the last one left standing :)

I have won after breaking all Seals, you just have to time it right

last seal will likely kill off forest classes before you since they tend to be very bad at siege offense/defense and their ancient forest citadels will be destroyed.

Ideally you want to find a far away island with a fortification of some sort, bug down and hold out as long as you can haha

It also lights forests on fire, which screws them over much more directly than anyone else.
