Hi Survivors, welcome to Custom Mode!

Yes, you heard that right – custom mode! Starting today, every Survival Machine player will be able to tailor the gameplay to their own preferences. Decide how often and in what numbers zombies will attack your Machine at night. Adjust the number of zombies in our Points of Interest, or take control over the durability of your items! You can find Custom Mode when you start or load a game in the lobby!

What exactly are you going be able to change? We have few options for you:

Days Between Zombie Attacks – Survivors can now choose how often zombie attacks occur: every day, every 2, 3. 4 or 5 days, or not at all. The decision is yours!
Zombie attacks size during the night - the night attack is too easy? Try 200%! You want the game to be a bit less challanging? 50% is an option for you!
Points of Interest Zombie Count - change the number of zombies you'll encounter at our Festival, Caravan Crash and Tent Camp point of interest
Core Components Damage Over Time - you decide whether the core components of the Machine will degrade over time or not at all
Machine Fuel Usage Multiplier - take control of fuel consumption! Increase the multiplier to make the game more challenging with higher fuel usage, or lower it for a more forgiving experience.
Item Durability Loss - this was something you highlighted often in your feedback. We're now putting the durability system in your hands—tweak it, reduce it, or turn it off entirely!

Hello Survivors!

TL;DR - The update improves gameplay with lowered zombie night difficulty for single-player, reduce fuel consumption, and increase durability for Tier I tools, weapons and chest items. It also fixes issues with revive, Machine customization, achievements, object interactions, crashes, and flying zombies.

New fixes are online (you may need to restart Steam for the update to activate):

Lowered zombie night difficulty across all difficulty levels for single-player
Reduced generator fuel consumption
Increased durability of Tier I tools and weapons
Increased durability of items found in chests to 60-70%
Items durability now degrades twice as slowly in solo play
Addressed issues with world elements not loading correctly
Improved functionality of the revive option; it should now work properly
Machine customization should now load correctly after saving
Resolved issue preventing the "Make Way" achievement from triggering
Resolved issue preventing the "New Horizon" achievement from triggering
Improved interactions with closely placed objects
Addressed an issue where some zombies were flying (we only accept dancing zombies!)
Players joining games should now be able to change keybindings
Addressed several crash scenarios
Adjustments to the 3-star level Factory Point of Interest

I hope this fix will significantly improve your experience, and we want to thank you, Survivors, for your quick response and detailed feedback! Thanks to your input, we’re able to improve Survival Machine quickly so everyone can fully enjoy the game.

But this is not the end — we’re already working on another fix that will greatly impact the single-player experience. This fix should be released within the next few days! Thank you for being with us and sharing your thoughts, it really helps!

Survival Machine's team reporting ''Operation Bug Hunt 6.0'' a success! No more ''stealth'' zombies, forgetful Machines, or shy HUDs!

Increased the number of diagrams found in chests and improved their descriptions for better clarity.
The machine now properly stops before roadblocks
Fixed a camera issue when using the glider.
Removed shadows from water to reduce visual glitches.
Machine customization colors will now save correctly between sessions.
Fixed an issue where the HUD could disappear for some players.
Improved loading of resources for players starting a new game.
Fixed several cases where zombies would either not spawn at night or spawn with a noticeable delay.
Resolved a few crash instances to improve overall stability.
The game will now display a warning message if downloaded files are corrupted—re-downloading the game will resolve this.
Added a failsafe to prevent the bow from becoming locked during use.
Fire traps now have a proper crafting cost assigned.
Fixed a blocker in the tutorial where players could bypass manually opening the tunnel door, potentially breaking progression.

Relatively short. Took a friend and I 7h to 100% it. BUT it is fun and definitely worth the buy, especially consider more is expected. Minimal bugs and a fun 7h.

Janky but built on a good premise. The feel of the game feels light and doesn’t have the kind of feedback as a more polished game.

The premise of maintaining a massive vehicle and being on a permanent escort mission can be stressful. It doesn’t take much to lose. The losing state feels like you could build up something great over several hours and lose it all in a matter of seconds.

The game needs something to take it to the next level. Otherwise it should fully embrace being a time management and zany. Playing the middle ground doesn’t work.

This game has massive potential! Its fun to play, but is quite a rush when playing solo. All of the hard work can be lost in a couple of minutes or seconds since being on your own is pretty stressful. This issue can be solved by giving the solo player some more buffs, or giving (later down the line, with more updates) multiple options for machines, to make it less micro-managing, and more casual and relaxed. I have very high hopes for this game!
