[Compilation] System Requirements
Inspired by this thread: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/app/1597310/discussions/0/4628107674950580253/

We acknowledge that Airship: Kingdoms Adrift might not have been fully optimized, even a year after release, and we’ve been actively exploring ways to improve its performance.

That said, it’s worth noting that we’ve listed fairly demanding system requirements, as our testing showed the game performs well when sufficient resources are available. Here’s a reminder of the recommended specs:

Recommended:
  • OS: Windows 10 (64-bit)
  • Processor: Intel i7 9700K or AMD-Hardware Equivalent
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 or Radeon RX 570
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Storage: 15 GB available space
  • Additional Notes: Does not support ultra-wide screen resolution
To help clarify performance expectations and assist new players who might be uncertain about their system’s capabilities, I’d like to start a thread compiling user experiences. This way, we can identify the acceptable range of hardware specs for enjoying the game, even in light of performance-related reviews.

It’s worth noting that many reviews mentioning performance issues don’t include system specs. This leaves us unsure whether the problems stem from machines below the recommended requirements or specific hardware/software configurations.

How You Can Help:
  • If performance issues are preventing you from enjoying the game, please share your hardware specs here.
  • If the game is running smoothly for you, let us know your setup as well—this can help others gauge compatibility.
Thank you for your support and feedback in helping us improve the experience for everyone!

I’ll start off with the specs for our office’s laptop test machine. We’ve tested it on minimum graphics settings throughout the entire production, and it was able to handle late-game 3vs3 battlecruiser battles without issues:

Asus TUF FX505DT-AL106T
Screen Size: 15.6 inch
Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 3550H
Processor Speed: 2.1 GHz up to 3.7 GHz (6MB Cache)
Display: FHD (1920 x 1080) Anti-Glare 120Hz IPS-level
Memory: 8GB DDR4 2400MHz
Storage: 512GB SSD
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650
Operating System: Windows 10 Home

Note: The fan runs constantly while playing, but it hasn’t caused any long-term damage to the laptop—it’s still working fine after extensive use. This might be partially due to the air conditioning we always have on in the office.

Hi, thanks for posting this. It's exciting to see that you are using a model that is very similar to our test hardware. How was your experience with the performance?

The only problem I had is that the frame drop ridiculously low when I get into late game where cruiser and battlecruiser are starting to spawn. if I try to play the game in fast forward mode (2x/3x), the game turns into a messy slideshow.

I can't even properly control the ship. On normal speed, it is bearable, but not really a pleasant experience playing on low fps. Really hoping some sort optimization for the battle.

To access the secret shop for testing purposes, launch the game with launch option -debug (note that this disables the achievement) then:

1) Open up the debug console by pressing shift+f2
2) Add item "Flag_storeopen_item0"
3) Go to the SilberblumHQ
4) The shop should show up with items in the game to try out
