The demo has VR support, but only Meta Quest headsets and controllers are currently supported.

@SuperPac

I tried playing the demo in VR with Oculus Quest 1 and Virtual Desktop, controls seem fine, but there was no way for me to load up the pause menu with the Oculus controller, I had to exit via Steam overlay > exit game.

Also for the visuals, there's a weird "ghost" effect on the white glowing shader for the Shiba Inu and the Human's portal to the left eye, not sure what's causing it.

Also when zooming in really close to the Shiba and the humans (to get a better look at the models) the world gets cut out for everything but the Shiba, it's like the clipping plane is messed up in VR. When I play in pancake mode this doesn't happen, and I can zoom in real close and see all the humans.

Here's a quick video I recorded with OBS

hi there! any tips for getting the demo to run on steam deck?
SuperPac  [developer] 24 Feb, 2023 @ 7:21pm
It should run on Deck fine (it runs for me!). If you're stuck at the EULA screen on the Deck, it shows the wrong controller prompt to scroll it, I think.

Hi SuperPac, I've tried the demo and loved it ... at least until the forth level, because I encounter a crash at the beggining of the fifth one ("Bridge the Gate"). It occures just when the opening of the level finishing, at the exact moment I'd have to get control :

https://youtu.be/iao8qR-Octo
(the video stops exactly at the moment I'm getting back to desktop)

I've tried to decrease / turn off all graphics settings and it always occurs.
(I've seen this fifth level has a different graphics rendering.)

My config :
CPU : i7 2600K (<-- maybe the problem ? maybe compatibility issue due to lack of AVX2 ?)
GPU : RTX 2080
RAM : 32Go
OS : Win 10 Pro (64 bits)

Thanks in advance !

Using virtual desktop on the Pico 4, the floor is much too low. The main menu is already like 1m below me. Resetting the floor level in SteamVR doesn't help. Using a height offset in Advanced Options only moves the SteamVR menu, while the game stays where it it. Any idea how to fix this? I'd love to properly try it in VR. It does work otherwise, I can play but the camera can't get low enough for proper play.

The demo won't start for me. I installed it. I hit play and then nothing. If I hit play again I get the standard message that the game is already running. Steam thinks its running. To run anything else I have to hit Stop. I've used the task manager while the game is "running" but there is no obvious process visible that could be the game. Its a mystery to me.

Possible Solution for game seemingly not starting
Problem: After starting the game's process can be found in the task manager but no window appears

Solution (that worked for me): Deleting/renaming the "UnityOpenXR.dll" file (in HUMANITY_Demo\HUMANITY_Demo_Data\Plugins\x86_64). (I renamed it to "0UnityOpenXR.dll" but deleting should work as well)

Reasoning: It seems that my VR setup is messed up in some kind of way but the VR dll seemed to completely block the game from starting even without any VR headset in use

Maybe this works for you too

So after the last time I tried to start it, I left it running(if that's the word) I did some other stuff then went off to get dinner and watch TV and at sometime during that four or five hour period the game actually started up. Played perfectly.

OK I sent the zendesk form.
Also I do have PSVR1 and tried the PS4 demo and I did not see the ghost effect with the white glowing shader like I did on the PC,

But the zooming-in part gets cut off as well on PSVR, so I think it's a VR thing, not specifically related to VR.

EDIT: It looks like it somehow submitted 2 tickets, when I first submitted I got an error I had to create an account/password, then when I did it created another ticket.
