I tried playing the demo in VR with Oculus Quest 1 and Virtual Desktop, controls seem fine, but there was no way for me to load up the pause menu with the Oculus controller, I had to exit via Steam overlay > exit game.
Also for the visuals, there's a weird "ghost" effect on the white glowing shader for the Shiba Inu and the Human's portal to the left eye, not sure what's causing it.
Also when zooming in really close to the Shiba and the humans (to get a better look at the models) the world gets cut out for everything but the Shiba, it's like the clipping plane is messed up in VR. When I play in pancake mode this doesn't happen, and I can zoom in real close and see all the humans.
Here's a quick video I recorded with OBS
https://streamable.com/x5l6vd
https://youtu.be/iao8qR-Octo
(the video stops exactly at the moment I'm getting back to desktop)
I've tried to decrease / turn off all graphics settings and it always occurs.
(I've seen this fifth level has a different graphics rendering.)
My config :
CPU : i7 2600K (<-- maybe the problem ? maybe compatibility issue due to lack of AVX2 ?)
GPU : RTX 2080
RAM : 32Go
OS : Win 10 Pro (64 bits)
Thanks in advance !
Possible Solution for game seemingly not starting
Problem: After starting the game's process can be found in the task manager but no window appears
Solution (that worked for me): Deleting/renaming the "UnityOpenXR.dll" file (in HUMANITY_Demo\HUMANITY_Demo_Data\Plugins\x86_64). (I renamed it to "0UnityOpenXR.dll" but deleting should work as well)
Reasoning: It seems that my VR setup is messed up in some kind of way but the VR dll seemed to completely block the game from starting even without any VR headset in use
Maybe this works for you too
My Config:
CPU : Intel G4400
GPU : Geforce GTX 1060
RAM : 24GB
OS : Win 10 Home (64 bits)
If you could send this as a Zendesk ticket we'd be able to look into it more closely!! https://enhance-experience.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new -- it will ask you to attach a DX Diag file. Any further information you can provide us on Zendesk will help us troubleshoot! Thanks!!
OK I sent the zendesk form.
Also I do have PSVR1 and tried the PS4 demo and I did not see the ghost effect with the white glowing shader like I did on the PC,
But the zooming-in part gets cut off as well on PSVR, so I think it's a VR thing, not specifically related to VR.
EDIT: It looks like it somehow submitted 2 tickets, when I first submitted I got an error I had to create an account/password, then when I did it created another ticket.
