Game is broken - demo is not starting at alll

Just purchased. Clicking on Start Game pops up a "Synchronizing Steam Client" window for a second and then nothing. Anyone else having this problem?

This game looks amazing. Do I have to type the commands or is it just drag and drop? Or in other words: how are the controls on a steam deck?

so i sat the game and got the demo. for some reason any time i try to open up the game, it quits out and gives a "quit unexpectedly" error. i checked system requirement and i'm pretty sure i have all the requirements met, so any idea on how to fix this?...

The achievement "No Need For That" (beat 10 levels in no jump mode) is not unlocking for me. I went ahead and created no-jump solutions for the first 12 levels in the game (that's not counting other themes or custom levels - just to be safe).
