AI CHASER STABILITY FIX (CRITICAL PATCH)
Replaced Event Tick with Timer-Based FakeTick in the AI Controller to reduce unnecessary CPU load and ensure consistent behavior across all hardware.

Added IsValid safety checks throughout the AI Controller and Behavior Tree Tasks:

Player references and pawn targets are now validated before access.

Prevents Accessed None crashes caused by perception of destroyed or unloaded actors.

Removed deprecated Trace by Channel damage logic, which was improperly targeting outdated damage interfaces and causing sporadic crashes on certain systems.

Cleaned up MoveTo Player and Frozen State BTTasks to fail gracefully when their targets are invalid, instead of crashing or locking behavior trees.

Tutorial Skull Dilemma

Perhaps I am missing something. I'm not able to execute any kind of 'gentle' knock. Click on the skull and it bounces in a random direction, usually off the counter. Once the skull falls on the ground I cannot pick it up. My left mouse button 'knocks' it and my right mouse button kicks it across the room. Perhaps it is merely the game being funny OR am I really supposed to be able to put it into the wastebasket? Is there a way to pick up and move an item while holding it? I'm using a mouse and keyboard. ...

The Demo

I just discovered that although it was not linked to the main game or store, the demo was somehow still active. The last time a demo was produced was some two years ago as I did not have time to work on a demo and the game at the same time. The demo is not really indicative of what is happening in the game I suspect....

Update Notes for 2.01

This update contains minor fixes requested by players or noticed by testers and is released with thanks to those who took the time to point them out.

Changes include
- New Neville animated model replaces previous model.
- Reintegration of walkway to Asylum Rock for people that have more time than common sense.
- Holes discovered by tester LadyCakePops are removed for common sense purposes.
- Integreation of FSR support at 3.01

A few bugs

Loading autosave empties/resets the inventory and journal and thoughts. On Steamdeck, the default gamepad controller config look movement is too slow to play at any sensitivity; keyboard mouse mode works instead, but some of those controls are a mystery. Please list the default controls or mapped keys in settings. Fun so far, and other than the control issue it runs well on the Steamdeck!...
