its so fun so far

As much as I wanted to like this sequel... I just can't. It lacks the soul, heart and charm of the original and I think that's in large part due to the poor writing. The main two characters and their "chatter" are borderline irritating, in particular Jacob. Unless you are a huge fan of Daria-style fluent in sarcasm dialogue and being saddled for 6 hours with a self deprecating dude who cant just SHUT THE ♥♥♥♥ UP for 1 minute because the sound of silence is so unbearable you dont even get to think for a moment about the events that are happening... all the dialogue just seemed forced and unnatural, like a terrible young adult drama where all the main characters speak like their lines have been written by Funkopop-worshipping millenials who havent had enough conversations with actual human beings.

The antagonists are very unlikeable as well, and the end sequence, without spoiling anything.. seems excessively "preachy". The only positives I will admit to is the gorgeous artwork and Camena is interesting enough to explore.. and if you are a fan of the original this does provide a continuation of Oxenfree, but honestly I dont think this is worth a play and doesnt add much to the events of the first game.
