As title says, i have a black screen and mouse pointer when i try to go to dispatch... screen shot can be provided

It makes clicking sound that progressively gets louder and shows an effect on the screen but otherwise the screen is black. I played all the old version fine on the same computer. Restarted and all that. Alt+enter takes is to a functioning black-screened window. I noticed there a two big gaps in the maps that are just 'plain leather' patches. Given that its a map of the surrounding area, are there plans to add additional regions to those spots?

I'm enjoying the game so far, it feels unbalanced but other than some difficult fights I've just been brushing it off as "I'm new, it'll get better" but i just had a run completely ruined halfway through cause one of my creatures got rabies!! like what am i supposed to do with that? i drew it 3 times and my 15 card deck was completely trashed and i had no other option than to let me creatures get killed by an elite enemy! ...
