Can you change resolution?
well i don't see any option to change the resolution, i wouldn't mind playing this game in windowed mode and 1024x768 resolution cuz above 720p looks well...not pretty.

Also does anyone have a good configuration for xbox 360 controller? i'd like to use the D-Pad for this kind of 2d platformers, the joystick feels a bit odd

not without any third party programs. your best bet is R.E.L.I.V.E. which is an open source engine with a bunch of bug fixes and QoL features (including controller support). you can download and read more about it on the official website: https://aliveteam.github.io/

That's a shame, i guess i'll have to take a look at R.E.L.I.V.E or get used to the game as it is, i'm not a fan of having to install mods or 3rd party stuff to play games but it's not the first time i had to
