Patch notes v0.6.0:

Daily challenges and online leaderboards

*Every day is a new challenge! All players start with the same seed meaning you're competing with the same exact run as others! You will start with a random upgrade and a debuff such as no legendary upgrades for the run. These challenges change every day, so be sure to check back!

*The daily challenges and regular runs have their own leaderboards.

Other changes include:

*Pineapple changed from 5% > 10% for enemies to drop second collectible

*Burger patty now targets closest enemy on first bounce only, all bounces after will be random

*Legendary ingredient and meal upgrades now only available after a boss fight

*Adjusted the increase in enemy health, experience, and speed

*Rebuilt upgrade system to accommodate incorporating seeds

*Improved UI in menu rooms

*Changed sausage from 20% less common upgrades to 10% chance to heal fully when picking up a heart

*Fixed watermelon and cake throwing enemies not being effected by the cheese upgrade (they were still throwing accurately)

*Fixed wonky battle cry text for sous chef boss

*Fixed bug where buying the pizza upgrade seemed to permanently increase bullet size, not just when the timer reached 2 minutes

*Fixed bug where ice cream sundae upgrade did not gather all collectibles on screen after defeating mini-boss

Too Many Cooks Update v0.5.5

Patch notes v0.5.5:

*Biggest change is the upgrade percentage increases. Before, most upgrades were calculated from current stat rather than base stat. This means if you had 200 damage and chose the 25% damage increase, your damage would go up to 250. Now the increase is calculated from your base damage, i.e., what you started the run with. That means if you started the run with 50, a 25% damage increase will give you 12.5 damage, regardless of your current damage. This is also reflected in reload rate, fire rate, and movement speed upgrades.

*Characters and weapons are now unlockable when beating the current level as opposed to the new level, i.e., you don’t need to beat the teppanyaki restaurant to unlock the sushi chef, you only need to beat the kitchen to unlock the restaurant, character, and weapon. This is not retroactive—if you’ve unlocked the teppanyaki restaurant but not the sushi chef, you will need to beat the kitchen again. Achievements have also been changed to reflect this.

*Other changes:

*Decreased sous chef boss speed from 3.15 -> 2.75

*Orange upgrade has increased from 100 enemies until healing to 250

*Enemies now stay frozen for 3 seconds down from 5

*Decreased the UI size in inventory so it doesn’t overflow

*Tomato now indicates that you will shoot through the table rather than solid objects to clear any confusion

*Dash and heart are now drawn on screen when selecting an upgrade or inventory is open

*Pizza and spaghetti upgrades are now every 60 seconds rather than 200 enemies

*Pizza and spaghetti sprites are now drawn in stats display to show how long until these upgrades happen

*Fire rate and reload rate are no indicated by numbers rather than percentages. Fire rate is number of shots per second and reload rate is how many seconds it takes to reload

*Fixed bug where reload rate took longer with a larger magazine size

*Changed a few upgrades:

*Chocolate now upgrades damage by 15% down from 30%

*Burger bun now decreases damage by 20% up from 15%

*Chicken now increases reload rate by 50%, down from 100%, and decreases movement speed by 15% rather than fire rate by 25%

*Wheat now doubles fire rate and quarters your damage, changed from doubling both reload and fire rate and decreasing damage by 30%

*Final XP gain at end of round decreased (was 1 XP point every 30 enemies, it’s now every 40). This is to change the overcompensation from the last update that went from 60 enemies to 30.

*Red outlines are now on all enemy projectiles

*Fixed more frame rate issues for coins on ground

*Final XP gained at end of run now continues into endless rather than stopping after second boss

*Final XP gained increased 2x to help with permanent shop upgrade purchases

*First boss in kitchen speed decreased from 3.5 > 3.15

*Fixed bug with snap peas upgrade

*Fixed meatballs giving crit chance upgrade even after snap peas are purchased or crit chance is over 100%

*Changed background of mini-boss health bar to make its health more clear

*Changed “+2 boss rerolls” to “+2 chest rerolls” to make it clearer that it’s for the chest drops, regardless if it’s from the boss or a mini-boss

*Damage indicator on mini-boss is now drawn higher than the health bar—helps with late game when it takes a lot to kill them.

*Projectiles in kitchen and teppanyaki restaurant now have red outline to make them easier to see

*Decreased orbiting blueberry upgrade size

*More to come:Unlock the next character and weapon after beating the prior level, not the current. (i.e., you won’t need to beat the teppanyaki level with the chef to unlock the sushi chef, unlocking the teppanyaki level also unlocks the sushi chef at the same time)Damage scaling. Right now the damage increases by multiplier so 25% damage increase is based on your current damage, not base damage. This can cause the damage to get insane. Working on a fix for this now! Enjoy the ridiculous OPness while you can ;) There’s a slight bug with the windowed mode, working on it!
