Any good XEN combinations for turrets?

Looking for good combos for XEN turrets that I received from challenges. From what I understood they don't use elemental ammo and tend to waste ammo when switching targets. Any suggestions for good build on them?

I asked the same questions and was told there are builds where they can make enough resources to make ammo for your other weapons. I really need to try that at some point.

I use gale with release 3+5x damage rotor on medium turrets with range capped at 5000. When scorps get close, it fires a pillar of fire every 7.5s that moves up the steam of enemies.
