Lovely concept, abysmal execution. I love the ambience, love the variety of horse care options, love the layout of the town and the farm, but this game is in DIRE need of some serious quality of life improvements. First and foremost, controller support. The controls of this game are HORRENDOUS and render an otherwise lovely game virtually unplayable to people accustomed to mini maps on the top right hand corner of the screen and who normally play games with a controller. Even WASD players may have a hard time getting around if they have to keep pressing M to see a map when a minimap would be just as useful and save a lot of time. Not that their map did me a whole lot of good anyhow because you don't have any indicators as to which direction is NORTH. So... at the very least give us either a compass or a minimap or both.

WASD also makes it defeatingly hard for controller players to win a race, even with an arrow to guide me, I kept bumping into obstacles because the controls are terrible and unituitive. Imagine, you're in a 3D setting world, but unlike something like Minecraft, you have both a time limit per day AND invisible walls that make it unclear where you can and cannot go. I got stuck on the edges of the map between trees that LOOKED like I could walk around them but couldn't. Turning around was a chore. Now add to this the fact that you have to press W to toggle from Idle to walk to trot to canter to gallop and S to toggle the other way around OH and there's a horse energy meter that goes down prohibitively fast while you're trying to toggle WHILE you have to press spacebar to jump and avoid obstacles. In 2d? maybe no problem. In 3d this is a chore.

Day 1? No problem because there was no timer so I could have the luxury of running into things and awkwardly strafe walking from place to place.... however once the timer is implemented its a race against the
clock to get anywhere with crap controls, an unintuitive map with no directional indications, no compass and
even with an arrow to guide you it can take forever to get where you're going. If you want to have this many mechanics in play, you GOTTA give me controller support and quality of life options, devs.

Gonna have to pass on this one until you do and that would be my recommendation for anyone considering buying this.

Dev clearly cares about the players and is responsive to feedback while staying true to the vision for the game. There's also a small but pretty active modding community in the Discord which has boosted the game above and beyond for me.

A+, it's very chill and very fun. If you like cosy games, farm sims or ranch/horse themes, you'll enjoy.

This is by far the best horse game on the market right now, and it keeps getting better with each update. Support this dev to help them keep up the amazing work!
