Welcome to Liberty City, the ultimate playground of chaos and fun! Right from the start, the game bursts with new life, featuring vibrant visuals that perfectly capture the early 2000s vibe.

And I can’t deny that nostalgia plays a big role here. This was the first GTA I ever experienced and one of the very first games I had the chance to run on my PC.

The missions may seem familiar, but they still pack that nostalgic thrill fans crave. Despite that, the game still hooks you like an old friend. You can cause mayhem in the streets, evade the cops, and explore every corner of this iconic city. There are plenty of Easter eggs, especially referencing the earlier games, and hitting 100% isn’t particularly demanding. It’s a timeless classic worth revisiting to see how the refresh has brought Liberty City back to life.

Just completely finiished the game like 5 minutes ago and here are my thoughts.

GTA 3 never really appealed to me as a kid, i would mostly play when my cousin came over because at that time i did not understand english and also i would never get past the first mision because everytime i started the game i always selected "new game" because i did not know what "load game" meant

But even then, this game still kinda scared me as a child and even now the athmosphere is depressing but also comforting and in a beautiful way.

I never thought i would ever visit this game again but who knew that giving it a go would get me here.

The story was kind of beautiful and i m glad Claude got what he wished for, at the same time the game felt kinda short but also excruciatingly long because i genuenly went crazy while doing the rampages or paramedic and such because the cars in this game feel so freaking janky and they feel more like toys than actual cars.

In the end i can say that it is a true classic and while the remaster could ve been better by making it easier here and there, it still deserved its final and definitive release.

Looking foward to play my all time favourite Grand Theft Auto Vice City and finish what i never could or even imagine as a child. I fully recommend this game (if you dare to pay with your sanity lol)

Game runs worse than GTA V on max settings... that's actually sad.

I cannot get it not to stutter, skip around and drop frames no matter what settings I've changed. GTA VC The Definitive Edition worked perfectly but I can't say the same about GTA 3. I like the idea and more old game should be remade in similar way to make them work on Win 10 and 11 with modern controls, checkpoints and refreshed textures however they did terrible job with this remake and I rather play original game than this.

Couldnt even start the game because Rockstars ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ahh launcher takes years to install which funny enough takes off time of the 2 hours. Greedy ass developer

Honestly the worst 3D GTA game. I don't like the original version and I don't like the Definitive Edition either. Play VC and San Andreas instead.

enhanced graphics, same stiff controls and some bugs, only the absolute necessary work has been done with this definitive edition which is not much of an improvement to the original, still good though

For those looking to 100% this game DON'T go in blind you will soft lock and or hard lock yourself out of some of the missions and it WILL ruin your play-through. That said this was a good experience until I had to try and get paramedic level 12 then I started to dislike the game. To make it easier for my fellow achievement hunters do the emergency services and packages first THEN do story missions and make sure to follow a guide so you don't skip missions and or achievement because you can not relay missions to get mission associated achievements. I'd say over all though on sale you get all 3 OG 3D GTA games for 24 bucks. It's a good deal, 7/10 for GTA 3.
