Warplanes: WW1 Fighters

This looks cool but how realistic is it?
I used to love Microprose Knights of the Sky and then Red Baron but I've not found a modern good WW1 air combat game. This looks like it might be worth a buy but then I tried the demo and..

'Radio chatter' option?
You do realise WW1 aircraft didn't have radios? ..I find it astonishing the devs didn't know this?

Im sure they did and are not gonna completely stick to full realism as the game also has a pvp feature, on the multiplayer side as well as co-op missions, without being able to communicate in some way, would hinder all forms of co-op and pvp useless.
If you're buddy is being tailed by 3 people, how can ya let them know? ya know xD

You mean Wings over Flanders Fields?...Without doubt THE most realistic WW1 combat sim on the planet..hasn't drawn you in?.....wow!
And with 80 different planes too!
But, they barely even market it, you have to be hardcore WW1 flight simmer or old veteran (pre-RoF/Flying Circus) to find it.
And it has no coop, no multiplayer, no moving gun hammers (been wanting these for years, huge deal breaker for me lol), long loading (even with SSD), missions take too long (even with time skip), and because it's using the old CFS3 engine the planes feel really floaty and weird.
The devs are a bit eccentric & stubborn for not making their own engine already, not saying Wingman or Povlovski are trash or anything, but they should have made their own engine.

Coming back to this finally after completley forgetting about it.
I checked out the game but its not for me. I don't enjoy VR games that force you to use a joystick/controller or some flight stick, its just not for me.

Im sure that's some people's play style but its not mine, I enjoy just simplistic and fun, which is why I love WW1 warplanes.
I don't want to have to worry about every button press, every little knob and dial, I wanna be in the air, shoot ♥♥♥♥. and fly. simpe and easy xD
It's not FS2020 (which I thoroughly enjoy) but it's great fun - and you get to use the stick in VR which I'm not aware is a thing in FS2020 (yet)
Have you looked at iL2 Great Battles ? There's decent WW! content available for that sim.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
