If you've done it right it'll fly back to base on it's own.
I often have 2-3 rocks flying in at a time. a lot less downtime.
Yes, of course, I wrote about this idea on discord in the link above. Currently, there's not a practical method of tossing rocks since the base disappears at medium range, and even when you can see it, if the rock touches the side it's instant failure.
What method do you use to accurately throw them, and how fast are they going?
The current state of the game has forced me to upgrade engines and magnetosphere, and progressively goaded me into dreaming up my own spectroscope upgrades, tether system upgrades, and a limiter that keeps the motion damper from exceeding the damage threshold.
