Disney Speedstorm is a game that initially captured my attention with its thrilling gameplay and vibrant presentation. The racing mechanics are fluid and enjoyable, offering a dynamic experience that kept me engaged for hours. The charming incorporation of Disney characters and tracks added a layer of nostalgia and fun that truly set this game apart from others in the genre (including Mario Kart).

However, my enthusiasm for Disney Speedstorm has been dampened by the game’s increasingly aggressive monetization strategy. While I understand that ongoing development and content creation come at a cost, the pricing model has become prohibitive. Each new season seems to bring with it higher costs and a growing reliance on microtransactions to access characters, upgrades, and other features that are essential for staying competitive.

What started as a game I could comfortably enjoy has turned into a platform where progression feels gated by how much money you’re willing or able to spend. (£17.99 worth of in game tokens should be enough to at least unlock a new character) This shift has made it challenging for me to continue playing without either falling behind or straining my budget.

Disney Speedstorm remains an entertaining and beautifully crafted game at its core, but its current direction has left me feeling priced out of what was once a more accessible experience. I hope that future updates might consider a more balanced approach to monetization, one that allows a broader audience to enjoy the game fully without financial strain.

For now, I find myself stepping away, not because I don’t love the game, but because I simply can’t justify the cost of keeping up. Therefore I can not recommend this game in its current state.

Pretty, very optimized, very fun, amazing sound track.... But I can't play it because it decided to crash every time I start the game.
It doesn't matter all the positives of the game if you can't play it, so this game is overall awful, and I hate it for all the stress.

Awesome Game

Damn i adapted too quick to this. Worthy to play and very well optimized the auto settings. My systems managed to handle it with lack of power on a 1060 gtx and 16 gb. Yea its cool. A bit off about the pay to win. But meh. It's still cool to play and win by your own way and rythm
