Disney Speedstorm’s Season 11, inspired by Disney and Pixar’s The Incredibles, is approaching fast, and the team has been working on changes and improvements to the game based on community feedback.

SEASONS AND GOLDEN PASS UPDATE

A reminder to read about the upcoming changes to the length of some seasons and Golden Passes outlined in our previous Community Pit Stop [LINK TO PREVIOUS PIT STOP] if you haven’t already.

INBOX

Players will now find a new tab in the player profile menu called “Inbox”. Starting during Season 11, players will find communications about different topics here, such as in-game Time-Limited Events, Community Pit Stops, maintenances, community activations etc.
This is just the first iteration of this feature, and we will develop it further based on community feedback.

TREASURE RUSH

To celebrate the holiday period, players will be able to participate in additional holiday-themed Treasure Rush Time Limited Events (TLEs). These TLE’s will be in addition to the regular Daily Challenge Treasure Rush TLE currently in-game.
Players will be tasked with collecting some festive-themed items rather than coins. There will not be any limit on Tries and as a result, players will only receive rewards from completing the TLE’s Objectives.


• A “Racer Class” filter has been added to the Racer select menu.
SHOP
• Offers for “Maxed” Racers and Crew will no longer appear in the Daily Specials tab.
• Players can now instantly “Tier Up” or Max out a Racer via dedicated Shop offers.

This season, all 7 Racers, including the 2 mid-season Racers will receive voice lines in-game.

Racers Davy Jones, Captain Hector Barbossa, Tia Dalma, Cruella De Vil, Maleficent and Dr. Finkelstein will now be available to select.

During Season 11, Tournaments and Vault Passes will become available for the Wreck-It Ralph and Hercules Collections.

Tournaments will be available for Racers Vanellope, Wreck-It Ralph, Sergeant Calhoun, Fix-It Felix and King Candy from the Wreck-It Ralph Collection and Racers Hercules, Meg and Hades from the Hercules Collection respectively.

• Hans’ Top Speed has been decreased.

• Miss Piggy’s Top Speed has been increased.

• Randall’s Charged Unique Skill now generates 2 screams.
• Randall’s Uncharged Unique Skill now lasts slightly longer.

RACER MINNIE MOUSE
• Minnie Mouse’s Top Speed stat has been increased.
• Minnie Mouse’s Unique Skill duration has been increased.

• WALL·E’s Top Speed stat has been increased.

RACER JACK SKELLINGTON
• Jack Skellington’s Top Speed stat has been increased.

• We fixed an issue causing Sergeant Calhoun’s Unique Skill not to count points after driving over Cy Bugs in Team Mode races.

RACER RAPUNZEL
• We fixed a bug which caused Rapunzel’s Unique Skill not to reach POW4.

RACER KING CANDY
• We fixed an issue that caused players to get King Candy’s Unique Skill after dashing another player.

Racer Mr Incredible will receive voice lines at the start of Part 3 of the Season.

We hope you’ve been enjoying Disney Speedstorm’s Season 10, inspired by Disney Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. Part 2 of the season is coming up fast, and we have a small mid-season hotfix ready to go with some improvements and fixes based on community feedback.



The pop-up screen that appears when you lose your Win Streak now has an additional button allowing you to dismiss close the screen more easily.


• Fixed an issue causing the gifts dropped during Racer Jack Skellington’s Unique Skill to spawn directly on rival Racers.
• The pieces of fruit dropped during the charged activation of Racer Baloo’s Unique Skill are now visible again.
• Fixed an issue causing the normal activation of Racer Sergeant Calhoun’s Unique Skill to not work as intended.


• Fixed an issue where Unique Skills were being picked up more often than intended after the changes made in Season 10 Update.


• Fixed an issue causing framerate issues during Treasure Rush on PS5 and PS4.


• Fixed an issue causing delays in the Daily Specials tab of the Shop loading in on certain platforms.


• Racer Sally now has voice lines added.


• Fixed an issue on a particular circuit of the A Pirate’s Life race environment where Racers could be forcibly reset.
• Racer Dr. Finkelstein can no longer pick up his Unique Skill by dashing rival Racers.
• Fixed an issue causing Racer Stitch’s “Epic Exclusive” race suit to be unavailable on other platforms after linking your account.
• Kart Wings can once again be completely removed after being equipped.
• Various game crash occurrences fixed across all platforms.

The “Trick or Treat” season, inspired by Disney Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas, brings a nightmare adventure and new content to the game, including the brand-new The Nightmare Festival racing environment!

Get up to speed with all the new content arriving in Season 10 below and catch up with the additional improvements we made in our most recent Community Pit Stop.


Racers Jack Skellington, Sally, Oogie Boogie and Dr. Finkelstein are revving up their engines to take you on a monstrous race!

Jack Skellington is a Speedster Class Racer, Sally is a Defender, Oogie Boogie is a Brawler, and Dr. Finkelstein is a Trickster Class Racer.

Details of how to unlock each of our 4 seasonal Racers are listed below.

• Jack Skellington will be unlockable via the premium tier of the Golden Pass Part 1*
  
• Sally will be unlockable via the premium tier of the Golden Pass Part 2*
  
• Oogie Boogie will be unlockable via the Season Tour in both Parts
  
• Dr. Finkelstein will be unlockable via the free tier of the Golden Pass in both Parts

Normal Activation: Jack delivers a small amount of ghoulish gifts across the track in front of him. Opponents get frightened by the gifts, and can get pushed upwards, become frozen with fear, or lose sight of the road. For every scared opponent, Jack is granted invulnerability.

Normal Activation: Sally uncorks a vial, releasing a thick fog that surrounds her for a short time. Racers that come close to her get blinded by the fog.

Charged Activation: Sally uncorks a vial of sleeping gas that surrounds her for a short time, freezing racers that come close to her.


Normal Activation: Oogie Boogie inhales air for a short time, slowing down all opponents in a large radius in front of him. While inhaling, Oogie Boogie can catch bugs that move towards him. Each collected bug generates boost fuel.

Charged Activation: Oogie Boogie turns around and exhales air for a short time, slowing down all opponents in a large radius behind him. While exhaling, Oogie Boogie releases bugs that scare opponents on contact.



Normal Activation: Dr. Finkelstein scratches his brain, generating an idea and gaining a small amount of extra boost fuel. Up to three ideas can be stacked.

Charged Activation: Dr. Finklestein generates an idea and creates a short-lived invention. If Dr. Finkelstein already had three ideas, he spent them on super invention.
Dr. Finkelstein's invention is more powerful the more ideas he has.

Passive: Dr. Finkelstein's charged invention is more powerful the more ideas he has.

• 0 ideas: stuns all nearby opponents.
  
• 1 idea: adds invulnerability to the stun effect.
  
• 2 ideas: adds a lightning aura to the previous effects.
  
• 3 ideas: grants a major speed boost on top of all previous effects

Disney Speedstorm’s Season 10, inspired by Disney Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, is approaching fast, and the team has been working on changes and improvements to the game based on community feedback.


Starting in Season 10, a pity system will be active for various boxes in Disney Speedstorm. A pity system essentially guarantees that a player will earn one of the highest value items in a box after opening a set number of boxes.

You can still earn one of those items opening less boxes if you are lucky of course, but this system will guarantee that you will pull one of the highest value items eventually. You will be able to see how many more of a certain box you need to open before the pity system comes into effect before opening any particular box.

The pity system will apply to a select number of boxes in the game initially, with a different number of box openings required for the pity system to come into effect depending on the box.



Golden Pass XP will now be earned exclusively from completing Daily and Season Missions. Completing Race Goals to earn Medals in the Season Tour Chapters will still unlock additional Race Nodes and Reward Nodes as usual but will no longer earn XP towards Golden Pass progress.

Completing Race Goals will now grant Season Coins instead of XP.


Previously, the Season Tour chapters contained both a main path and side paths. The side paths typically had higher requirements that players could complete to earn additional rewards.

Starting in Season 10, these side paths will no longer appear in each chapter. They will instead be consolidated into a single additional chapter that will be available from the beginning of the season.

A new feature coming to the Season Tour in Season 10 is the introduction of Arbee Challenge Nodes. Once a player has reached Player Rank 25, certain race nodes in the regular Season Tour chapters will become Arbee Challenge Nodes.

Arbee Challenge Nodes will have an extra, more challenging Race Goal with higher level requirements to complete in addition to the usual 3 Race Goals. Players can choose to toggle this feature on or off at any time.

Completing this additional Arbee Challenge Goal will earn players extra progress towards Arbee Challenge Milestones, an additional reward track for players to earn some great in-game items.


Regulated Multiplayer will now be found within the Limited Events menu. Regulated Multiplayer events will still be regulated to Racer Level 30.

Players will still have unlimited Tries and the rewards will remain unchanged.


Racers can no longer pick up more than 2 Unique Skills in a row.


•    Brawler, Defender and Trickster Class Racers will no longer pick up Common Skills Boost or Rush when in first position.
•    Speedster Class Racers will no longer be able to pick up more than one of Common Skills Boost or Rush in a row when in first position. 
•    All Racer Classes will no longer pick up Common Skills Fire, Shield, Bomb or Cloak when in last position.

Currently, only Racers who are within a certain distance of the player in front of them and following their path benefit from the slipstream bonus which fill their Manual Boost Bar.

Starting in Season 10, any Racer that is not actively granting a slipstream bonus because there are no rival Racers in close enough proximity to them for a period of 5 seconds, will start to spawn Nitro Fuel bottles directly behind them on the track every few seconds.

Any other rival player can pick up these Nitro Fuel bottles which will fill their Manual Boost Bar, helping them to catch up to those in front of them. Nitro Fuel bottles cannot be seen or picked up by the Racer who spawned them nor can they be picked up by teammates in Team Mode races.

Starting in Season 10, players can now earn a Win Streak bonus for finishing in the podium places in multiple Ranked Multiplayer races in a row.

As you increase your Win streak counter, you will receive additional MPR points each race, up to a max of 5.

Your Win Streak counter will increase via one of the following methods:

•    When you finish in the Top 3 of a Solo Mode Ranked Multiplayer race.
•    When your team wins a Team Mode Ranked Multiplayer race.

Your Win Streak counter will reset if one of the following happens:
•    When you finish 4th place or lower in a Solo Mode Ranked Multiplayer race.
•    When your team loses a Team Mode Ranked Multiplayer race.

If a player loses their Win Streak, they will have the option to use a small number of Tokens to maintain their current Win Streak. The number of Tokens required is dependent on the length of their current Win Streak.


Players in a party will now be able to use a small number of party messages while in the matchmaking menu.


•    Visual improvements have been made to the end race animation screen.
•    Additional Shard information is now visible in Shop single offers and bundles.


•    Offers for “Maxed” Racers and Crew will no longer appear in the Daily Specials tab.


During Season 10, Tournaments and a Vault Pass will become available for The Little Mermaid Collection.

Tournaments will be available for Racers Ariel, Ursula, Prince Eric and King Triton from The Little Mermaid Collection.


Racers Joy, Sadness, Anger, Disgust, Anxiety, Ennui and Will Turner will now be available to select.


This season, Racers Jack Skellington, Sally, Oogie Boogie and the 2 mid-season Racers will receive voice lines in-game*.

*Racer Sally will receive voice lines during the Season 10 mid-season Hotfix for the start of Part 2 of the season.

We hope you’ve been enjoying Disney Speedstorm’s Season 9, inspired by Disney’s Pirates of The Caribbean. Part 2 of the season is just beyond the horizon, and we have a mid-season hotfix ready to set sail with some improvements and fixes based on community feedback.


Disney Speedstorm now supports Android Fold mobile devices. Experience a whole new way to play Disney Speedstorm with Split View giving wider visibility of racetracks and a dedicated space for your touchscreen buttons.



The team has made several improvements to the game’s UI/UX based on the feedback received from the community. We will continue to make improvements based on community feedback in future updates.

• The Upgrade Racer button will not be selected by default in the Racer profile tab.
• A preview of which stat will increase at the next Upgrade Level is now visible again.
• The Crew menu now shows the Loot Point bonus stats for Crew members.


• Various game crash occurrences fixed across all platforms.
• The charged activation of Racer Kristoff’s Unique Skill should no longer cause server lag/crashes.
• Fixed various visual User Interface bugs.

RACER WRECK-IT RALPH

• Wreck-It Ralph’s Top Speed stat has been reduced.

RACER SERGEANT CALHOUN

• The number of Cy Bug breaches spawned during the normal activation of her Unique Skill has been reduced by one across all Racer Star Levels.
• The size of the Cy Bug breaches spawned during the normal activation of her Unique Skill has been reduced by 15%.

RACER KING CANDY

• King Candy’s Manual Boost bar will fill upon successfully stunning a rival Racer or destroying an obstacle with either the normal or charged activation of his Unique Skill.

RACER DISGUST

• Disgust’s Manual Boost bar will fill upon successfully hitting a rival Racer or destroying an obstacle with either the normal or charged activation of her Unique Skill.
• The speed at which the projectiles travel during the normal activation of her Unique Skill has been increased at Racer Star Levels 2, 3 and 4.

RACER MINNIE MOUSE

• The amount Minnie Mouse dashes forward during both the normal and charged activations of her Unique Skills has been increased by 50%.

RACER EVE

• EVE’s Top Speed stat has been increased.

RACER MIKE WAZOWSKI

• Mike Wazowski’s Top Speed stat has been increased.

RACER MULAN

• Mulan’s Manual Boost bar will fill upon successfully stunning a rival Racer or destroying an obstacle with either the normal or charged activation of her Unique Skill.

RACER SHANG

• Shang’s Manual Boost bar will fill upon successfully stunning a rival Racer or destroying an obstacle with either the normal or charged activation of his Unique Skill.
• The duration of the charged activation of his Unique Skill has been increased by 2 seconds across all Racer Star Levels.

RACER STITCH

• Stitch’s Top Speed stat has been increased.

RACER HERCULES

• Hercules will receive an additional 8% speed boost for 2 seconds when touching the trail from both the normal and charged activations of his Unique Skill.

RACER MEG

• The duration of both the normal and charged activations of her Unique Skill has been increased by 2 seconds across all Racer Star Levels.

RACER ELIZABETH SWANN

• The amount Elizabeth dashes forward during both the normal and charged activations of her Unique Skills has been increased by 20%.

The “Looking for Trouble” season, inspired by Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean, brings a swashbuckling adventure and new content to the game, including an expansion of the already available “A Pirate’s Life” racing environment!

Get up to speed with all the new content arriving in Season 9 below and catch up with the additional improvements we made in our most recent Community Pit Stop.


Racers Captain Hector Barbossa, Davy Jones, Tia Dalma and Will Turner are revving up their engines to take you on a race for the horizon!

Captain Hector Barbossa is a Brawler Class Racer, Davy Jones is a Defender, Tia Dalma is a Trickster, and Will Turner is a Speedster Class Racer.

Details of how to unlock each of our 4 seasonal Racers are listed below.

• Davy Jones will be unlockable via the premium tier of the Golden Pass Part 1*(and via the shop after Part 1)
  
• Captain Hector Barbossa will be unlockable via the premium tier of the Golden Pass Part 2*
  
• Tia Dalma will be unlockable via the Season Tour in both Parts.
  
• Will Turner will be unlockable via the free tier of the Golden Pass in both Parts.

Passive: Barbossa starts the race with a curse that makes him invulnerable but slower. The curse can be lifted by collecting cursed coins, making him recover full speed but losing invulnerability.

Normal Activation: Several skeleton hands appear on the racetrack in front of Barbossa, slowing opponents down on contact and generating a cursed coin.

Charged Activation: Skeleton hands spawn around Barbossa for an average period of time, slowing opponents that get close to him and generating a cursed coin for Barbossa.

Normal Activation: Davy Jones calls forth a very small number of tentacles. The tentacles appear right in front of him one at a time, giving him a push and stunning opponents.

Charged Activation: Davy Jones calls forth a very small number of tentacles. They appear in waves, stunning opponents and giving him a push if he drives over them.


Normal Activation: Tia Dalma gains a shield of crabs for a moderate time, which extends to any racer she touches. When she grants a shield, she collects a Piece of Eight. After collecting Nine Pieces of Eight, Tia Dalma adopts her true form as goddess Calypso, creating a whirlpool around herself that pushes opponents away.

Charged Activation: Tia Dalma channels the power of the sea to generate boost fuel for a moderate time. Whenever she touches a Racer, she grants them long-lasting fuel generation, and collects a Piece of Eight. After collecting Nine Pieces of Eight, Tia Dalma adopts her true form as goddess Calypso, creating a whirlpool around herself that pushes opponents away.


Normal Activation: Will adopts a counteroffensive stance for a moderate time, guarding him from one attack. When it ends, he ripostes with a push. If an opponent is caught in the push, the skill is refunded.

Charged Activation: Will adopts an agile stance for a moderate time. Whenever he overtakes an opponent or is overtaken himself, he pushes himself forward.

Disney Speedstorm’s Season 9, inspired by Disney’s Pirates of The Caribbean, is visible just beyond the horizon! The team has prepared a number of improvements based on Community Feedback which are outlined below.


Season 9 will see the introduction of a new game mode called Treasure Rush. Treasure Rush will task players with gathering special collectibles during races. Your driving skills will be pushed to the limit as you try to juggle picking up as many collectibles as possible while still trying to win the race.

The collectibles you have gathered at the end of the race will be converted into Season Coins and you’ll receive a bonus multiplier if you finish in the podium places. Upgrade Coins will also be earnable via Objective Milestones. There will be a set amount of daily Tries attached to the event.



Players can now purchase customization items such as Race Suits or Kart Bodies directly from the relevant customization menus.


We’ve made several improvements to the main menu UI/UX based on community feedback.

The changes are outlined below:

• Both Racers and karts are now visible.
• The MPR progress of your selected Racer is now visible.
• The current season’s timer is now visible.
• A gamepad shortcut has been added to access the Racers list.


Several issues have been fixed in the Daily Special section of the Shop and are outlined below:

• Players will no longer have duplicate offers.
• Players will no longer have offers for maxed out Racers/Crew members.


During Season 9, Tournaments and Vault Passes will become available for the Frozen and Oswald The Lucky Rabbit Collections.

Tournaments will be available for Racers Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Kristoff and Hans from the Frozen Collection and Racers Oswald and Ortensia from the Oswald The Lucky Rabbit Collection.


Racers Vanellope, Wreck-It Ralph, Sergeant Calhoun, King Candy, Kermit The Frog and Fear are now available to select.

This season, Racers Will Turner, Captain Hector Barbossa, Davy Jones and both of the 2 mid-season Racers will have voice lines in-game.


• Various game crash occurrences fixed across all platforms.
• Dashing with a Brawler Class Racer will now correctly apply a stun effect.
