As you may well know, the events and story of Venus: Improbable Dream have a huge focus on mental health - a subject that can never be explored enough. Though society is becoming much better about recognising, empathising with and supporting those with mental health issues, we still have a long way to go, and as a content creator, I never pass up a chance to do some good in that regard. That's why I'm excited to announce that Venus: Improbable Dream will be flying the mental health flag in full colours in collaboration with mental health charity Safe In Our World!


Safe In Our World[safeinourworld.org] are an awesome charity organisation that seek to promote mental health awareness and support through video games! Just like myself, they aim to eradicate the outdated negative stigmas surrounding mental health, and encourage an open dialogue about such topics, so that nobody ever feels alone or abnormal amid their struggles.

This weekend, Safe In Our World will be hosting a GIANT gaming livestream, entitled Safe In Our Raids, spanning all weekend from Friday May 6th - Sunday May 8th on Twitch! Across all 48 hours, you'll be able to watch a plethora of streamers playing all sorts of games, from little-known indie titles to AAA classics, in the hope of raising a whopping £2,500 to benefit mental health associations!

Not only that, but the last day of the stream will feature a HUGE giveaway segment, where you lucky viewers can win FREE copies of a whole goodie bag of games, and Venus: Improbable Dream is one of them!

Venus: Improbable Dream creator Borealis here, and I'm so happy to share this news!

As of today, Venus: Improbable Dream will feature Steam Achievements! This is something I planned to implement from the beginning, but sadly, Ren'Py (the engine I used for the game) is notoriously tricky to sync with Steam for things like achievements, and I couldn't find a solid way to make it happen at first. Thankfully, Ren'Py has seen some recent updates that have made this much easier, and so here we are - another improbable dream made possible!

There are 17 achievements in total for you to find; some of them are triggered simply by reaching certain points in the story, and others are only earned if you make specific choices, so replaying just got even more worth it! I'll give you a hint - you might want to explore all of the things that Kakeru and Haruka can do at lunch time in order to find some of the trickier ones 😉

Hello gamers!

It's Venus: Improbable Dream developer Borealis here, and I have some wonderful news:

In collaboration with East Asia Soft and Rataliaka Games, Venus: Improbable Dream will be releasing on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4 and PS5 on November 12th 2021! The release will see modification to the GUI and menu controls, as well as some lovely new artwork! Check out the East Asia Soft showcase below to see all the info for yourself - Venus: Improbable Dream is in the second half!
