combat too easy towards the laast region
I play region locked, expert. I know that that there is one difficulty higher than this. But, with the highest combat difficulty all the cobat skills skale up in price of valour points. Since i got used to play with some skills costing just one valour point I wish there was a setting where we could just increase the amount of enemies. Idk, anyone else feels this way? Currently any of my mercs can singlehandedly kill from 2 to 6-7 enemies in one round. Its alsways one round fights - they never go beyond. No real need in tanks as I almost never give a chance for enemies to even make a move. what u guys think?

You can hide turn order in the options, but that's just to make the game a bit harder.

The game in general has the problem that you'll become invincible late game and most of your units will kill multiple enemies.

The DLCs make this even worse. Skelmar adds a Sword that can attack again after each critical hit and an axe that resets on kill, so you'll kill enemies until you run out of movement.

Belerion has rare bows with AoE damage, allowing a single archer to kill 8-12 enemies a turn.

Don't get me started on classes with AoE attacks, or the Cutthroat being able to solo an encounter...

exactly!

With four archers with area damage bows, all fights are won practically on the first turn ...
I also wish that there was an option to have enemy number scaling in region locked mode. Additionally an option to customize enemy health would be nice. I am playing on extreme, but I can already see the game getting easier after the first 1-2 regions.
I feel like I'm playing a different game to you guys. My party of 20 is currently an average level of 12 with gear appropriate for most of them, all of them have max level legendary items, smithed and slotted and potions applied to weapons.

The opposition I'm coming up against will routinely have around 30 enemies in a group and their tanks will have 80% guard, 200+ armour, 160+ health and they all have poison damage or fire damage.

and while a good crit hit from one of my A.O.E archers can sometimes kill some of their squashy units, A.O.E bows just arn't that common, I have two, which are a level below what they should be but because they are so rare I'm still using it.

I'm not struggling to beat the game, but they ain't 5 minute fights either.

I suppose the obvious way to make things harder for yourself would be to use less party members, you don't mention how many you have.

Be great if you posted some videos of the fights you are doing.

What Oils do you use? What are your 20 characters? What are your stats?
I play adaptive expert with 13 or 14 and most of them can kill multiple enemies.

Penetrating Oil to reduce enemy guard by 50%, Brave's Oil to gain Valor Points on skill use.

Armor Layers: Hessuran Brooch (Belerion DLC) for +45% crit hit chance.
All my characters (at least those I want to have it) have 100% crit chance. All have 20-24 movement.

An Executioner should be able to run in and kill 4-5 enemies.
My Halberdier dealt around 1200+ damage with her Valor skill to 4+ enemies when she was around level 10.

Yeah, my executioner does that too, and i have others that can and do kill multiple enemies in a single turn but I'm currently taking on a bandit camp which started with 26 enemies, i killed 12 in the first round and it just spawned in reinforcements and now I'm facing 42 enemies. As i said, I'm not sure I'm playing the same game as you guys. Maybe you are all just playing optimally with the best way of doing everything, as I said, would be nice to see some videos so I can see how to do it better

I tried using the built in steam-video record function, but the resulting videos are always corrupted, so I can't really make any :/

Edit: So I looked at it and I have 11 combatants, well 10 and a Wrongdoer.
Archer 6+ Kills per turn
Swordsman kills until she runs out of movement (6+)
Executioner 4+ skill and then basic attack resets on fatal blow
Crossbowman 5-6
Halberdier 4-6
Assassin ~5
Pugilist 2-3
Vanguard (two handed) 2-4
Vanguard (one handed) 2-3
Sentinel 1

I fight around 17 enemies and 3-4 of my mercs get to act before the fight is over...
