Need help with Rainbow Six: Vegas 2?
Have you experienced any bugs, has your game crashed or are you experiencing some performance issues with the game?

Issue's with launching the game on a newer system

If you experience any performance issues, black screens, or if the game simply won't launch from Steam. you may need to run the game via Windows Compatibility mode, if using a modern Window's operating system.

This is due to the game originally being designed to run and launch on older systems and older Windows OS. This tool will help emulate an older Windows OS and can fix several of the issues listed above.

To do this, first locate the games .exe game file in its installation folder -

  • Right click on the .exe file and select the Properties option
  • Next, select the 'Compatibility' tab
  • Select one of the older Windows OS - Windows XP/Vista
  • Select Apply
  • Select OK
  • Launch the game by double-clicking on the games .exe file

In the same 'Compatibility' tab, you can also try selecting the option 'Disable Full-Screen Optimizations' if you experience a black screen on a modern high definition or widescreen monitor.

Please note, the game also uses the older versions of DirectX, DirectX 9 supporting software. Please make sure this version is installed in your games 'Support' installation folder, if you having any problems launching the game.
