Is there a happy ending where...?
Is there a happy ending where both, Lee and Eda are together forever?

I haven't finished game yet, but when I get sad ending (i.e. main characters not reunited, one of them is died, both for them are pointlessly died & etc) after long game, I get disappointed and feel like the entire journey of the game is wasted.

So the question is, in the end of the game, Lee and Eda truly reunited (good happy ending) Or one of them is drown in illusions that another one is still alive (sad cliche ending)?

Ah, I understand exactly what you mean. I'm a happy ending guy too.

Unfortunately I cannot speak for our writer or director, that would be disrespectful. But I would encourage you to look closer at any information you come across.

Spoiler ahead:

I'd love to see a dlc for alternative ending or playing as Eda to see how she spends her years alone exploring. Don't get me wrong I loved the ending, I just wish there was more to it from Eda's perspective, did she die from the wounds after the crash ? The final credit scenes shows her planting the flowers and seasons pass until they bloom and she is still there until she fades away (Really wanted to know how she lived or her preparing some sort of a time capsule/diary with starsongs dedicated to both Remi and Jun.

Also, I'd love to read up more about the post ending scenes in black and white (funeral), how exactly does it relate to the protagonists, is the concept of death similar to lifestream in final fantasy as the starsongs can save memories/thoughts etc. ?

Can you please tell me, in the end do the Lee and Eda reunite or not? Or the ending isn't obvious and everybody can imagine whatever they want?

It depends on your life values. Based on what you said earlier, I would assume that you think Ada is dead. The exact cause of death is not given, but I think it was due to lack of food from the ending animation. In the end, Lee returns to where Ada went. There, Lee saw the flowers that Ada had planted for him.

But you can see it in another way. I suggest you collect all the collectibles in this game.
It will make you realize that Lee and Eda truly "reunited".

I don't quite get the the connection with the ancient race tho' and I've read most the tablets.
The only detail/connection I found interesting is the story where a girl is sometimes born with 6 marks on her neck and slowly begins losing her voice.
I believe we see Eda having a similar mark on her neck when we first meet her but it's never brought up or acknowledged in any way.
I get the lumen somehow reunited them for a brief moment at the end. Hell, it may even be the thing that got them togheter in the first place.
Him being drawn to Thousand Peaks by a sad voice and her hearing a sad call in her dreams, events displaced in time but inside the Lumen (somehow).
I was kinda hoping Lumen had the power to transcend time in the physical sense not just in the emotional sense.

it's odd that lumen seems to have a will of it's own though since at times it is willing to guide characters. There's a bunch of other stuff left open like how did eda survive long enough on the asteroid to plant the flowers THEN survive long enough to see them bloom. The flowers subsist on lumine alone but a person needs at least water and food. you could suppose that enough resources were left salvagable from the ship crash but I doubt that gives her the months worth of resources needed to sustain a single person.

secondly lumine "halucinations" dont seem to be just random hallucinations, they either exemplify memory OR give someone a perfect recount of history. Now whether or not the lore in the background about the gods is literal or metaphorical is up for debate. It'd be interesting if instead of a single memory if lumine transfered a whole personality into someone's mind, but given the lack of documentation on lumine exposure other than "dont expose yourself or you might lose your mind" it's hard to say what lumine can and cannot do.

I'd like to think that Eda was one of the last of Terra's descendants afterall she was killed by what appeared to be 6 gods that may have cursed her bloodline which may have caused Ignis to burn them all in vengeance. I find the whole concept of lumen to be heavily inspired by final fantasy VII especially things like lumen = lifestream, Eda = last descendant of Terra / Aerith = last Ancient.

Also, another potential ff vii reference might have been Jun+Eda's escape from the caves submerging in lumen (very similar scene to Tifa x Cloud scene)

Eda could die for any reason, either starvation due to no supplies or suicide after seeding those flowers, but I think you don't even need this piece of information. Artistically and metaphorically, they are reunited when Jun saw the sea of blooms (which the flower is named after Eda). The implicit writing left space for reader's imagination and I think the writer intentionally did that. That was what makes this story is so subtle and beautiful.

I think it's implied in one of the items (I forget which one) that Jun is the reincarnation of Helius. If that's the case, his hallucinations would make way more sense. They'd be flashbacks instead.

If it makes you feel any better I have a theory that during the end credits where Eda was planting the flowers around the Red Chamber on Phoenix she is seen talking/playing with the lumen glows and before the game ended it seems that Jun and Eda were able to connect through the Gates of Binarii on that asteroid. You can infer that Jun at his old age and Eda on her final days before she runs out of food and starves or w/e was moments they spent together in the field of flowers till both of their passing.

EXACTLY, moreover, It is also implied that Eda is the rencarnation of Terra. Eda had the six marks in her neck and was loosing her voice (which links to Terra having died by having his neck or throat pierced by 6 other gods (or ancient aliens) as seen by Jun in his vision. So the story is about these lovers that seek to reunite in another life only to be separated again, like the binarii (always searching for eachother but never truly reuniting)
