buggy, unpolished and not a smooth experience. I played on controller so maybe that's why the movement was off but the audio, animation, environments, actual gameplay and translation work all feel barely held together by half a roll of a students scotch tape.

I don't hate the game, I actually really enjoyed what was here and it felt charming, but it's all so loosely held together I figured I would wait to see how they update the game only to find out this is the full release and a sequel is on the way, so, probably just wait and check out the sequel, that's what I'll do.

Among the worst experiences I have ever had playing a video game. Absolutely pitiful in terms of amount of content/gameplay loop. It is basically a walking simulator with a few fight sequences thrown in. Not to mention the art style in the cutscenes is pretty off-putting and ugly (my opinion I know) but moreover the mixed presentation with that art style with the more realistic character models, alongside the dialogue that literally eludes me (I legit have no idea what anyone is talking about or what any of the conversations pertain to, the sentences are literally non-sequiturs followed by more non-sequiturs), absolutely signaled to me that this game is garbage. I also picked up on this level of bad when I got the achievement for clearing Chapter 3 approximately 60 seconds after getting the achievement for clearing Chapter 2.

You can buy Yakuza 5 for like $4 on sale, whereas this game costs $10 on sale. Mindblowing the level of difference in quality in relation to what you are paying. Would not recommend this game to any living soul
