Idle?
Is this game actually idle? It doesn't seem that way from what I have seen.

Honestly pretty active. Especially if you wanna min/max your time with it. I usually just log into everyone once a day to collect things and check in tomorrow though. Might spend a couple hours with it each day poking around.
idle early game for the most part but then later down the road it gets very active as Zavirem mentioned if u want to really maximize gains but its hard to do much active until u get to w4 classes for mob respawn abilities.

its idle if you want it to be, only thing you can't do idle is farm crystals and some other obvious stuff like dungeons and bosses

most people in end game don't idle
It takes active time to set things up but there are points you can jsut progress with once a day+ log ins. There are some really end game stuff that needs active idle with a certain autoloot. Really no need to be try hard efficient. Play what you want.

got a quest for 1'500 wood. with my current woodchopper class i need more than half a day just for that. and the quest has other stuff i also need. definitively not a 100% idle game, but if you don't minmax you can idle a lot.
also, try leveling up mining, i came back for a daily login and didn't even get 2 levels, and i need a few more levels for the next zone.

I'm new and I've found the more I progress the more quests I pick up that require me to be active but this is a resource heavy game and you'll be idle a lot.

I've found you want to stay on top of unlocking your carry capacity bags (task unlocks) because if you go idle for a week and come back you spend a long time scooping up stuff on the floor and throwing it into remote storage, I feel like I spent 20mins just scooping up fish once because my fish carry capacity was very low and if my carry capacity was higher it wouldn't have been so boring or taken so long (if you leave the map with stuff on the ground it's gone forever.) So if you do want to idle a lot make sure your carry capacity is as high as you can craft it.

Open your codex book > go to quick ref (lots of important things go here are you progress) > Storage

I forget if you get this straight away, I'm on my 8th char now so I've had it for a bit now but that's where it is.

Further in the game there are some things where you have to idle for a LONG time to use them and upgrade them :IdleOn:

you can idle. but depending on how you placed your points it could be a while. or 7-10 business nevers to get anywhere. stuck at world 5 since i dont do enough damage to clear the trash mobs for the boss or damage the boss fast enough. but it will get there if the (ads) dont drive me insane first

The ability to access the storage remotely is unlocked by a pet (Dedotated Ram).

There is also a talent which can be used to deposit your inventory into storage but it destroys everything on the ground so pretty useless in this case.
I play active about 1 or 2 months out of a year, let it just casually idle otherwise.
You can set the game to run in the background to grind "active" but its still afk active.
no joke im pissed that yall get the good loot and i have about like 20 hrs almost and im still at Wrld 1. also for any noobs DO NOT put skills in the classes like warrior archer or mage, i done that on both the stat pages and ruined my game lol wait till u choose ur own then lvl some up each. also use the 2nd page for farming and the 1st one for ur normal skills

The game has the lable and has it in the title but a bunch of features are strictly active. The new "master class" for example is something you can only do actively and even with autoloot it's not very efficient use of the game's time to let it "active afk", to make the most out of it you HAVE to play actively.

The game has a LOT of idle functionality but is not an idle game in the stricter sense. It's basically the ultimate troll, release an idle game that isn't an idle game.
