No. I'm about 15 hours in and haven't seen any jumpscares. Tbh it's pretty tame in that regard. The horror is more about environments and the nature of haunting, it's pretty good.

The only horror that this game have is the folklore character it self but not giving any spoiler in the school that was an update area there is something spine chilling

Yes, that school part is scary.

I had the game muted at that part, and that does help (I'm also not a horror fan).

There's a minor jump scare as you cleanse a shrine pretty early on I think. , don't remember any other ones, although I haven't touched any updated content yet.

Get ready for the school sidequest hihi ^^. You'll love it. Muhahah

Nah, the real horror is that the game company who made this game, Tango Gameworks Inc. failed financially.

77 hours in and the only really jumpscary part was the highschool side quest to my memory. im bad with horror and jumpscares but theres practically none except for the highschool

It can be. There have been times I turn corner to see creepy guy slowly walking and it startled me.

had 2 so far, that actually made me jump. but it's a good kind of jump and once you regain your composure it's all fine

some i guess, i'm not that scared of jumpscare, but there's 1 sidequest i remeber does it. it's the usual jumpscare, nothing new imho
