Anyway, Ghostwire Tokyo and The Evil Within are still 100% owned by Microsoft and Bethesda, so either they get a sequel made by a different team or they just shelve both IPs and we never see or hear from them again. Chances are this will remain dead in the water, as now we got Microsoft involved and they don't like making horror/adult games.
Whaaaaaat? They weren't actually shutdown? That's pretty cool news. At least leaves a little hope for a spriritual successor. At least if they kept the people responsible for the engine and asset design.
This is the first game that really captured the feeling of a city of that size for me (GTA and the likes are fine but the proportions always feel a bit off for some reason). Even if the street layout isn't super accurate, which is quite noticable in a few places - for example Tokyo Tower isn't even remotely as big if you are on top of the building of Shibuya Station as it is in the game, it still feels like walking through a part of Tokyo.
Would be cool if we could get the same for other places (not even necessarily limited to Japanese cities honestly). I honestly just want another game that takes a real world city and achieves to mirror the feeling of size of the region.
I'd love one too. GW:T gets a lot right for a brand new franchise, and a sequel has so much exciting potential.
Probably as mentioned is always Microsoft :(
Still, it would be wonderful to have a Ghostwire: Kyoto, since I really loved almost anything form Ghostwire: Tokyo. The fighting combat, the atmosphere, walk again in Shibuya.
