Does the idea of a hyper restrictive Far Cry that tempts you with a beautifully haunted City that you cant explore 5ft outside the tiny explorable area without dying and doing the same 4 gaudy attacks ad nausium excite you?

Because thats Ghostwire Tokyo

agree ghostwire is very mid.
If you like flying/running around the city and collecting things that don't make sense then by all means than yes.
But if you are looking for some nice plot and interesting story than no.
The game focuses on collecting craps.
If you like Death Stranding, you'll like this.
Both were free on Epic awhile back, you may already have them.

get this game instead
For a discounted price, I'd give this a yes if you're into Japanese culture. The setting+visuals were everything to me, the story+gameplay was pretty meh. 50% of my playtime was petting doggos and cats rather than doing repetitive side quests.
There is no native build for GNU/Linux, so no.
Okay, thanks!
As angel in the dark said, this is worth it if you're interested in japanese culture and mythology. If you know anything about yokai, then seeing the developers imaginings of them in this is quite nice, and some of the horror aspects of the game can be quite a surprise. It has a few visually impressive set pieces, and the combat is an odd twist on the fps genre that you'll either really like or really hate. It is very much a collectathon, the map is splattered with a countless number of things to find and grab, so much so that it can become quite easy to just completely zone out and just run around doing that instead of following the story sometimes. Visually it looks quite nice, the controls are nice and smooth, navigating the map can be quite fun once you learn it's quirks, and the sound design is pretty good, but all in all, it really comes down to a simple factor.
If you enjoy games like Ubisoft's Farcry (from farcry 3 onwards), then you'll probably like this, but if you didn't, then yeah, this won't change your mind on it.
Oh, i never liked the FarCry games much (other than FC1 a little bit). =/
But this game seems to have some other interesting points to it, so i may want to look into it some time.
Thanks for the input.

Honestly the exploration itself is pretty fun and the world building is pretty interesting if u like a japanese setting that is.
