From adorable flower pots with animals peeking out, to a new language option, to a giant pig zeppelin, this update has it all! Here's what's been added in today's patch:


Perfect for binge-watching all your favorite shows (if your imagination allows it) while pretending you're not avoiding your responsibilities in the post apocalyptic world.


There are lots of stylish new patterns to choose from, including simple designs, subtle florals, and even some cute animal prints. Whether you want to make a statement or keep it understated, there's a wallpaper to suit every taste.


But wait, there's more and it’s pretty quack-tastic. We’ve added a giant duck for all of you oversized, cute animal fans! That's right, now you can have a rubber friend that's almost as big as your house. It's up to you to find it and feed it as much rubber as you can!


For those of you who prefer your decor to be a bit more airborne, we've added a pig-zeppelin. That's right, a floating pig! There’s also a new, oinktastic pig-zeppelin-themed cap for your animals to wear while they attend their funky parties.


LNext one is a swing decor item. Now you can pretend you're a carefree child again, letting your pet chicken swing back and forth.

For final one we have added giant Chickilla! Travel the world, find secret statues and summon the biggest chicken in the world!
To avoid spoiling too much here is a in engine preview ;)
We hope you enjoy these new additions and can't wait to see how you incorporate them into your homes.

We have also fixed final battle, now our final boss is more challenging and requires some skill and reasonable time to be defeated. We hope that you will enjoy this change!

We would also like to extend our sincerest apologies to all of you awaiting the fishing patch. We know that it's been a long time coming, and we understand how frustrating it can be to wait for something you're excited about. We want to assure you that we haven't forgotten about the fishing patch, and it's still in the works. However, we want to make sure that it's perfect before we release it to you. The fishing patch is going to include an entirely new area, activity, and a bunch of fishes for you to catch. This means that there's a lot of work that needs to be done, but we promise it will be worth the wait. Again, sorry for the delay!

Last but definitively not least the topic of controller support. There is no other way to put it rather than we are sorry of how this turned out.
This was our first digital project ever and we realized rather too late that we are not fully aware what full controller support means.
At the moment you can play and finish the game with controller and this is what we thought was fine.
Based on your feedback and negative reviews we can see its not good enough and we need to make it better. We just need to know what exactly are your expectations?
Is alternative version of tutorial for controller and key bindings for controller are good enough or do you need some more? Please let us know!

No Place Like Home is coming to consoles!
That's right! Soon, you'll be able to explore, build, craft and restore the world on consoles! The game is going to be released on all 3 major platforms - Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S - around summer of 2023. Unfortunately, we can't share specific dates at the moment, but we want to bring you the console version as soon as possible. Keep your eyes peeled for future announcements regarding the console ports.

Get your fishing poles out!
As if there weren't enough activities already, we're adding more. A brand new mechanic is coming to the game - fishing! If you ever wanted to relax and unwind in a post-apocalyptic world, with a fishing pole in your hand, we've got you covered.

We know there have been some delays and we’re sorry for that. We’re happy to say that the new patch will be released in Q1 of 2023!

It’s been created for No Place Like Home players, who wanted to focus more on cleaning the world, without having to take care of the farm. Finally a new update is here and its a huge one! We are excited to announce a new Dungeon Zone, new Challenge Mode, and lots and lots of improvements to our game. Thank you so much for all your comments and reported bugs and we hope that most of them have been resolved with this patch. We have prepared for you a new trailer with a feature summary as well as a detailed list of changes below. We did our best to fix all the problems you had with controllers. We now proudly announce that the game has full controller support!
Explore brand new dungeons full of new enemies (yes, there's something to be afraid of :)), new room layouts where, if you're lucky, you'll find suitcases full of treasures! If you are a risky and explorer, this is definitely something for you.
New dungeons map allows you to navigate through the depths of the undergrounds - but of course in the challenge mode you can forget about such help :) You have to draw the map in your head.
New Dungeon Zone brings new areas to explore, new puzzles, new shortcuts, new items to find and of course new places to clean for those that still have not got enough ;)
The Big Arrow leads you. Now quests should be more fun to fulfill, and again - forget about such help in the challenge mode :)
Every time you get a quest a compass will point you to the thing you need to find. Check your journal and you should be able to change the quest it currently tracks. There are several quests that are not tracked by default.

Previous attacks often caused some problems so we have changed them into new more thematic ones!
Now you can dodge out of most actions you’re in the middle of. If you’re planning on taking the challenge of the Challenge Mode it’s best you train it, it might be crucial for your survival!
Now it's definitely more responsive to all controls. We heard your comments and decided to spend a lot of time to make controlling our heroine more fun and much less frustrating!

Some of you didn’t like the tooltips shown in the game. You can now disable them from showing in the game world in the game options (all hint’s will be visible in shops, journal and inventory at all times)

Now they are much smaller. And we hope you will like them as well. We already liked them very much.

Now you can crosscheck how much the item you’re getting the blueprint for is going to cost in the crafting station and vice versa! (might be very useful in Challenge Mode)

Since you can produce batteries in solar power station there might come a moment when you’d have a bit too much of those. No worries, they’re good for recycling!

We found a way to free you from the obsolete quest items - now, when the quest is complete, the corresponding quest items display a small recycle icon, indicating that you can recycle them :)

Have you heard that eating gives you a lot of energy? In No Place Like Home, it works exactly the same. If you take it solidly, your stamina will never end. Well .. almost never. Until you get hungry :)
(unlimited stamina as long as food buff is working)

You have enough? Everything works as it should? The world was saved? Time to leave the planet towards Mars? So let's go.

Not everything is always as easy as it may seem. And here we come to the rescue. Now, pop-ups with helpful information will accompany you on your way through this post-apocalyptic world.

We know how important the design elements of your sweet nest are for you. That is why we decided to significantly expand the portfolio of available elements and now both bedrooms and bathrooms have gained a lot of new elements that we believe will make you feel "at home";)

Optimization is always one of the main goals in game development. So this time we are coming with smaller and bigger changes, and one of the important one is an option to turn off the foliage. It will definitely increase your game speed on slower machines.

You read well! From now on you can fully enjoy the game even on widescreen monitors. No more clipping or picture in the window. Let the game fill the screen fully.

We have heard about the problems with the walls in your wonderful houses and we have not been deaf to this problem either. From now on, the problem should be completely gone.

It should be much more demanding and should quench the thirst for a harder game for players who enjoy a challenge. Here’s a list of changes that will definitely make your lives harder:

The game economy had a full overhaul so now you’ll need to make more conscious decisions when deciding what and when to buy. Also, you’ll need all the help you can get, so don’t forget to ask Llamas and Cubebots for help!

Dungeons are back, changed and upgraded, but the map is unavailable underground. Navigation should be a challenge in exchange for more resources and shortcuts.

In Challenge Mode all enemies have a tougher skin, faster movement and their setup is different than usual. Be ready and prepare yourself some boosters in the form of healing meals.

It doesn’t do much damage (at first) but if it zaps you, the stun might leave you vulnerable for attacks from other enemies. Stay grounded!

Now stunning is available only with water hose

No time to sleep during the day…

But you need some sleep eventually, everybody needs rest…


In Challenge Mode you’ll be able to find Coffee seeds, grow your own coffee beans, grind them yourself in a special coffee grinder and have your very own Coffee that will allow you to stay up all night with no health penalty!
First night window will explain all the coffee and sleep mechanics to you - it pops up one time only, at 10:00 AM on the first night (only available in Challenge Mode - don't worry about your casual modes;)

It's damage and behavior has been changed so that it allows for gathering supplies from destroyed cubes - in Challenge Mode every resource counts!

It clearly shows how many shots are left and that water is disabled until all chicken shots are taken.
One of the birdfeeders is gone from the start of the game, but you can normally buy it’s blueprint and craft it.We sincerely hope that this update will bring you the best experience with No Place Like Home that you had so far - with the gameplay and game modes you’re familiar with, and the new game mode that some of you asked and waited for.

We are working hard on the next major patch with undergrounds and hard mode, meanwhile, we have prepared smaller quality of life upgrades for you! We hope you will like them. As always, keep your feedback coming so we know what we can add in future to improve your gaming time ;)

Steam achievements are here! Now all the in-game achievements will be connected to Steam, so you’ll be able to track your game completion from the app level and be able to show off to your friends.

You asked for it and we did it - we have added the inventory sorting, so now you’ll be able to quickly arrange your items with a single click!

From now on all interactions have visual hints saying what to press and what effect different buttons have in the game world.
[UPDATE - we will make an option to hide them next week]

Building rotation is no longer restricted to 90 degrees! Press or hold E/R to adjust building position as you please!

You can now instantly enter Harold’s shop without the need for having a conversation with him (unification with other shops)

You asked us to add the possibility to have crafting stations in other locations then next to the Ellen’s house. Now you can get the recipes and build them wherever you want!
Fail safe mechanism that makes both items kept safe for finishing the quests they’re needed for

The Dog does not collide with the player anymore

We are finishing testing of gamepad and tooltips implementation and we are translating them now to all available languages. There is no strict deadline for those but they should go live in next few weeks as well.

Here is a list of today's fixes:

• Graphics Performance mode is now set by default for new players- its visually very similar to high mode but its much better for lower speces - you can change it in options.
  
• Fixed low texture resolutions in performance mode - now maps look good in performance mode.
  
• Fixed camera rotation speed - which was a main cause of "bad controls" feedback and probably the main reason behind motion sickness to some players - now it's out of the way :)
  
• Cute furniture should no longer disappear
  
• Some saves (done during food buffs) couldn’t load - its now fixed
  
• Fixed infinite buffs

Wow, this was a wild ride. We have been working on this game for over 2 years now, and for more than a year we have been listening to your feedback and improving it in Early Access to make it ready for full Release. While we had ups and downs, our whole team gave our very best. We were working very hard to create No Place Like Home and implement our visiontogether with your amazing feedback.
