not gaining cheese in bingo challenges

since the new update my bf and i have both tried starting the bingo and bingo++ challenges but we do not gain any cheese like we are supposed to. makes the challenges impossible so i hope this can be fixed, not sure if anyone else has had this problem.

Since AFK play is somewhat vital, and not just offline gains, my pc has turned into my personal space heater through this winter. I'm just finally past the pyramid onto sacred leaves and the game just keeps going. I thought this game was about leaf blowing but you really only do that for the first 10 minutes of of any challenge mode until you get crunchies. There's so much more and it all becomes vital at different points of the game.
It's crazy seeing material spawn rates go from hundreds per hour to thousands per hour even though by that point collecting them is still the less efficient way to gain essences. There's just soo much min-maxing to progress in this game and a lot to consider. Though it really seems near impossible to progress effectively without a fair level of reliance on the wiki.
