Does anyone else notice lag when walking?

I just got this game and I noticed that when I let off the W key when going forward there is like 1-2 seconds of the character still walking after I've let off the key already. Its not a huge deal but just a little annoying and was wondering if anyone else had noticed this?

I just posted a comment about finding the walking speed being too fast, you're probably just still carrying some momentum from moving so fast !

Ever find a solution? Have the same issue and have tried everything.

I found the movement controls to be horrifically bad. There may be a nice game there but forcing me to cope with disjointed movement isn't the way to help me find it.

I know that I am very late, but it seems that the delay is only there if you use a keyboard. I've tried it with an Xbox controller and there is no delay.
