Event viewer might be able to shed some light on the issue. Exit to main menu is a workaround manual save option.
Where can I find this Event Viewer? When my game crashes, it doesn't simply make me quit the game, it just indefinitely freezes the window and makes it impossible to access. I then have to forcibly end the task with task manager. So, I don't receive any kind of error message.
Or
Win+R, type "eventvwr" press "enter" or click on "ok".
What actually fixed it was discovering that my GPU (RTX 4070) wasn't actually spinning it's fans at all. I turned on the NVidia overlay to monitor things as part of my troubleshooting process and noticed I was getting 0 RPM even when GPU temp was above 60c. Installing GPU Tweak III fixed the issue for me.
To help us investigate, could you please share your PC specs and a screenshot of the error message?
