Your railroad in this game sucks to be anywhere close to.
My vehicles can crawl through mud and everything but i get near a train track and the tires act like its made of black ice. I have no idea why any vehicle with such weight would slide as if all weight were removed and grind the tracks like I'm playing subway surfer...

Nah - sometimes the train tracks are the best way to get around in SR. Sometimes they are the only way ... I use them often. There's even a mission where you have to tow/winch a locomotive.

The best way to use the tracks is to find somewhere where a road crosses the tracks, then turn onto the tracks there. Drive slowly and carefully.

This is how you tell the difference between a good player, and an amateur.
A good player who understand the map and game mechanics of the game; An amateur is someone who brags on others but knows little, yet goes around harassing others. [/quote]

Yeah in Yukon at the flooded foothills right at the bottom you get a choice of either railway lines or floodwater. I'll take the lines every time. The floodwater is just too slow.

some times the rail road is nearly uncross-able unless you winch with some vehicles or try and jump it. I have never thought that a rail of metal would be next to impossible to cross with a locomotives that can cross the entire country.:steamsalty:

Think hes talking about the lack of grip when trying to cross over.
The tracks dont have the shape we see the tire dosent sink in between them.
The surface i think is road for traction calculation.
So
When at an angle going uphill your front wheels will loose traction forcing all work onto your rears.
Now with mid level height heavies and all other trucks. Try pulling any trailer across tracks. Instant hang on the landing gear.
Best bet is cross at crossings. and drive on side of them.
If possible center on them but be ready to get popped up and off at a slight turn. Think your rim physics hits the connector of the rail section physics. Either way it can flip you if your top heavy.
