Yeah having grown up in actual projects, it doesn't matter if you hate the dude. You don't snitch and inform otherwise...you are gonna die.

"Hey we make water filters so you can have decent water, it helps pay for our costs as freedom fighters" Yo in the actual real life ghetto. People doing that type of stuff gain actual loyalty.

Imagine someone giving you a filter to make your water not taste like egg farts and then only charging enough to keep the scheme going.

Clean water wins every time.

You can see that the people in Aerith's slums have to all gather in one place to have access to a TV, and after that they straight up get news through a town-crier set up lmao. Even if we discarded the perfectly valid point made in the thread already, regarding people in slums looking after their own first, it stands to reason that the news wouldn't reach most of these people in a fast and reliable way.

Poor Johnny though! XD I don´t think he meant to blabber out all he did, he wasn´t aware of the consequenses, plus he had Shinra soldiers dragging him off and pointing their guns at him. And then Cloud comes and scares him even more (also understandable). One notices later in the game that Johnny is actually a nice guy who wants to help, but as Aerith says, he´s not very sharp or clever,lol.
