your reason for playing
why did you play nso? especially if you enjoyed it?
I'm trying to see if we're all mentally ill people who find some sort of odd comfort here

A friend recommended, played, knew more about the game and enjoyed it.
Extremely empathized with Ame but not sure about whether we're similar.
Sorry I don't want to talk too much about myself

Darn, I don't mean to pry but did he ever act crazy to you? I think I might have bpd, and I was thinking about getting tested this summer.
I was obsessed with this game in like. 2022 when it came out- I found out about the game bc of the main theme song (Internet Overdose) in a yami kawaii playlist. Then time skip to two days ago when my friend had some spare money after he bought a game for himself, so he bought NSO for me because he knew I liked it but never had the game :3
Shoutout to my homie Lemon <3

I just love this kind of dark, satirical humour :FFIX_Moogle:

If you have any recommendations in the same vein, I'd be interested.

I saw a screenshot somewhere and was immediately interested. Pastel pink is a weakness of mine (I am not the most manly) and I love psychological horror. Wishlisted the game, then thought "eh, why not?" when it went on sale.

"Why not?", me from a few months ago? Because you'll 100% the game and find yourself craving that experience again, but nothing will hit *quite* right.

I don't think I'll ever play another game like Needy Streamer Overload. When I first saw the minigame where you, the player are forced to have a hand in Ame's self-harm, I knew it was something special. You cannot fix her.

Also, I love Ame's character. Her design is cute and her dialogue/personality feels pretty authentic. :needy_octopus:
Ame is cute
I played it because I had bought it :needy_cat:
i wear jirai kei fashion irl so seeing a game where the mc is also partaking in the subculture piqued my curiosity

I was seeing it pop up on my social media feeds a ton and i thought the aesthetic was cool, then I saw it was on sale and my friend said that he heard it had a great soundtrack so I figured I ought to give it a try. I had experience with somewhat similar games that depict mental illness like DDLC and i found the struggles of those characters pretty relatable, and the same thing happened again with this game. IDK why these kinds of games are like therapy for me. They make me feel seen and not alone. The worst part is always finishing them though. I wish they went on forever.

TLDR: The aesthetic is so me and i also find odd comfort in these kinds of games as well
i found its soundtrack through arcaea and thought it was genuinely cool, after reading the reviews and watching trailers i got super hyped up since i enjoy messed up stuff, and... yeah

i saw a friend using alot of pics of this game for things and went to check it on steam, i added it to my wishlist and got it from a friend... i related too much to ame
i started playing bc it was popular, i think i saw a couple of tiktoks of cosplayers cosplaying as kangel. so i downloaded it!!! i also have bpd so i lowkey project myself onto ame bc i see myself in her too much... wayyy too much
i remember someone recommending it to me, i decided to get a bit into it and honestly i got attached to it more than i expected, i didn’t knew i would relate so much to ame chan……:steamsad:
