Lock on
Maybe I missed it.. But does the game have a lock on button. Feels kind of clunky without it. Have not been able to get it to work by pressing buttons on my controller.

you can also change the camera style in camera options so the camera remains focused on the monster after locking on. something more like a dark souls lock on if that's your thing.

if you want an always active lock on, my answer is such: don't. it's awful for monster hunter, the game isn't designed for it. the focus camera snapping your view to the target quickly is all you will ever need, and even then you wont always need it
