Call me nuts but how do the map, motions, sounds, attacks, backgrounds, and monsters look so much like Hocus Pocus from back in the day? I recognize way too much. I'd be down for this because it's a new fun Halloween-themed Hocus Pocus but not unless I can get it for the same low low price as what had been shareware for the longest time. I rebought Hocus Pocus here from nostalgia (and because dealing with a DOS emulator was a hassle compared to plunking down a very few dollars) but...it looks so much like ...

Apparently the game went through zero testing after the latest patch, because its clear most of you enjoyed this game. Then the last patch hit and it appears that you cannot complete any level. After a boss fight the game completely stops, you can walk back and forth but the game does not move on to the next level. You get the achievement for beating the boss, but then you can only quit out and replay the map... Pretty unfortunate, was really looking forward to this game. Buyer beware, game literally ca...

Feels jank and not very retro. Definitely takes a good bit of challenge away from traversing a stage up to reaching a boss. Traditionally the stage should restart from the beginning upon death.
