How many people will never buy this because of the RIDICULOUS achievements
A game like this shouldn't take over a thousand hours to complete :goggles:

If you are playing on key bored you will want to get a controller. I do want to point out there is a large amount of people who are waiting for more levels because there are not enough adventure levels to keep us playing.

most people don't buy a game just to 100% achievements

To answer your question, I would say slim to none. The achievements are not even taken into consideration when I'm buying a game.

The game is fun, but this person is absolutely right that the achievements are ridiculous. That said:

Well, I don't even play the adventure levels at all. I build tracks and race them in multiplayer, that's what i do and also I race other made tracks online to have fun. Adventure mode feels lonely! Haha...

You absolutely want a controller, he makes no options for anyone who uses any control scheme except for what he uses. We have at least had text file control changes since 1995, but its hardcoded.

All the keyboard and controller keybinds are fully rebindable in the settings.

Like you said, grindy achievements like the dev recently added are not meant for the casual gamer, it's directed more towards achievement hunters. But this level of grind is not what most achievement hunters want, it becomes yet another pointless grind because it goes beyond the joy of exploring the game's mechanics and maps. You're just compelling the poor souls that have some progress to keep playing against their will for the completion. This is how the game gets bad reviews or stops being recommended. In my opinion, 50-100 wins is very reasonable and gives both completionists and casuals the chance to 100% the game while also exploring the content.

i have never met a single person who bought a game based on the achievments, thats a crazy take

I almost regret buying once I saw the achievements, especially after being locked in by launching the game and getting one

i do agree some of those are ridiculous.
honestly figured stuff like "collect all of the X hidden in levels" type wouldnt be that much of a hassle, but the placement of some of these things just seems to either be easy or stupidly difficult.
