Haven't played since Trine 2
Decided to pick this up due to the reviews and sale but i'm really dissapointed how you can no longer 'draw' boxes and planks as the mage, and they just pop into existence.

Visually looks nice, some neat new mechanics but i'm still not sure atm if it's better then Trine 2.

It's because it would break some puzzles otherwise. Same as in Trine 3 and 4 by the way.

You can still use this option in Trine 5! Go to Options > Control Options and tick "Draw shapes to conjure objects".
