Bought Trine 5 the other day, didnt even realised it had been released, played all the others with no problems, but bought a new joypad (8bitdo ultimate wireless) a short while ago & could not get it to work properly, sometimes I could move but not jump, sometimes I could use the action buttons but could not move, this joypad has worked flawlessly in every other game I have used it on.

Tried searching, results told me to disable steam input, I also tried verifying the files, updated the firmware for both joypad & dongle, nothing worked.

So contrary to the search advice, I enabled steam input by right clicking on Trine 5 in my steam library, clicked properties, chose controller in the left pane, enabled steam input on the right from the drop down.

Then I opened the steam page, & from the very top menu clicked Steam, then settings, chose controller from the left pane, then in the right pane I enabled steam input for xbox controllers.

Now everything works fine & I can play & enjoy the game, just posting this in case it helps someone else.
